Vanilla Orange

I am not the biggest fan of gels but they are a necessary evil for triathlons. I was given a Carb Boom gel as a sample in a race bag. I really liked it. So, when I needed to order more gels I decided to give them a further try. I ordered the orange/vanilla because I figured it would be a good combo and orange usually sets well with me. It's not too thick as I cannot handle that due to the gag effect. The packets are easy to open (important on the bike) and they do taste good. No stomach issues either.

Usually these types of products can upset my stomach, but this flavor and brand has actually managed to settle my stomach while running and never causes any issues. Love the taste and the caffeine boost is nice as well.

I bought the orange vanilla flavor when I was almost out of my grape pomegranate and was unable to find that flavor anywhere. I’d had the orange vanilla before, but it had been awhile - it tastes like a creamsicle! But with caffeine! … nice.Gels aren’t for everyone but they work for me. I’ve used Boom Carb Gels for my long run fueling for the past 8 years - they give me the carbs I need every 3 miles and now I have a second flavor to stock up on.

These energy gels do not have sugars; so, are easy for your stomach to absorb. Have been using them on numerous difficult hikes for about a year. I consume two per hour after the first hour. To save time, I now premix them in my water bottles. They are sticky and you have to be careful how you open and empty them, especially in bear country. I carry a zip lock bag to put the empties into and dispose of (burn) later in the day. If you are doing multiday hiking/climbing, there weight does add up. But, I find that I never run out of energy and need very little for lunch.

Of the many sport supplements that I have used for tennis and cycling; this is the best tasting while delivering a nice hit of energy.

Nice and easy to digest great for use at the start of a race my team loves them and hopefully we can see us using them more often

Good and bad. Product is fine and as taste is as just like always. Date codes are good. Problem was the packaging, or careless handling of it. It arrived fine in the Amazon box, wrapped in clear plastic. The problem was when I opened the box of gel. I received a shower of crystallized gel everywhere. One of the packets had been punctured (some time ago, not during shipping) and completely dried inside the box. I had to remove all of the packets and wash off...twice!! The hardened gel was everywhere and took a good 20-30 minutes to clean off the packets and the floor. Not much fun if I were to put a packet into my bag and get everything sticky. Other than that, everything was OK. See attached pictures.

Great taste!!! (Vanilla-Orange) easy to use and I felt the slight jolt of energy as soon as I took this!
