Protect your wood hoop from being scratched by preventing the bass drum pedal from twisting or slipping. Review: Flexible, fit up to 3/8” thick hoops - These are economical (2 per package) and serve the purpose. They slip on and off the hoop fairly easily and stay put fairly well. They flex to fit your hoops, and work best with 1/4” to 3/8” thick hoops. They have thin rubber on the inside edges to protect your hoops from scratches. Note that they do not include screws or non-skid like the Pearl version and are not pre-drilled. This could easily be done DIY. I liked them enough to buy a 2nd set. Pictured here, mounted both ways on a 22” wood hoop that is 5/16” thick. Review: Works on all size hoops! - I was really impressed with these hoop protectors. I installed them on my new PDP kit, and it fit perfectly. I think it needs to be noted that the metal is thin enough to bend to whatever size hoop you have. I installed them on a 24" hoop with no problem. Great value as well, planning to use the second protector on the front hoop so I can install an old-style drum anchor.

Simple and effective
Priced fair for what it is. Helps me keep my kick rim in decent condition. I gig a good bit, so I'm taking my kick pedal on and off a lot, so having this in place is nice.

Sharp Edges
Does what it's supposed to do. Beware sharp edges.

Hoop protectors
I am restoring an old kit and bought new wooden hoops. I haven't used these yet but they fit the hoop great and should protect it well 👍

Excellent Drum Hoop Protector!
I was a little skeptical about this product at first. For 40 years I used the rubber or felt protectors…which have worked fine. They just wear over time and need to be replaced. I am pleasantly surprised and very happy with my purchase! The protector slides right on the hoop and fits snug. The bass drum pedal grips the protector solidly and does not move around.

If You Value Your Nice Kick Drum Hoop....
...then you'll pick these up almost immediately. They fully cover all of the points on the drum hoop where the front of a kick pedal will make contact, and they come with a nice, rubber layer inside to keep the clip from scratching the wood/painted wood. 100% worth the investment. ALSO!! Do NOT do what I did and try to remove a rubber protector that you may find pre-glued to the inside of the hoop on some bass drums (my Yamaha Stage Custom, for example), or you'll have fun cleaning the glue residue off, lol. Just spin the hoop around and slide the metal protector on instead. You'll thank me.
