Tala Fridge and Freezer Thermometer with Clear and Easy to read display, Work from -25 to + 25 degrees celsius

I also purchased the TALA fridge thermometer together with the oven thermometer so this review applies to both types.They are well made easy to read and were supplied within a couple of days.You need to attach themometer/s to wire rack type shelves in your appliances.Dont forget they usually hang below the racks so you need to rotate the dial - unless you like reading it upside down.Thermometers work ok, fairly quick to register so enabling you to cook accurately - I find in oven use, even fan types , you need to let the oven warm up (5/10 mins)and also be aware of the ovens particular warm and not so warm zones - then read the thermometer and all should be fine.In mine I found between top and bottom areas an approx 15 degrees difference, so this would impact on your cooking times.Fridge usage is similar, being quick to register and accurate albeit the various cold zones , in mine , dont appear to be so different in temperature, approx 5 degrees.I would buy the thermometers again, using same supplier and Amazon is fine also!

Recently, I opened some ice cream to find it had gone quite soft. Having an old freezer and having had no issues with it up to that point, I was concerned that this might indicate that the freezer was starting to slowly fail. It seemed to be working though, so I kept an eye on it and purchased this thermometer to see if the temperature was perhaps a little high in there.I managed to determine reasonably quickly using this device that the freezer was fine. There isn't much more I can say about it other than it does the job in a way you would expect. However, things do move around and occasionally fall in a chest freezer while you are looking inside. This thermometer seems quite robust though, and survived one such fall recently while I was searching with no damage.Ultimately, there isn't anything bad I can say about it. For this reason, it deserves the full 5 stars! A great accessory to keep around in case.

Using a new oven my Yorkshire puddings failed to rise so I got this product to check the temperature of the oven which turned out to be fine.Since then got a tin and stopped using the enamel tray and low and behold Yorkshire puddings are just fine.This product saved me the hassle of trying to get an exchange oven which wasn't needed or the cost of an electrician to check over the new appliance.Fantastic item.

I bought this to check on an old fridge freezer that I thought was playing up. I wished to see how accurate it was on a new fridge freezer I had. In the freezer compartment it said that the temperature was acceptable but only just however in the fridge compartment it always said it was too warm. Even when the fridge had been closed for 24 hours. My nephew is a Refrigeration Engineer and he checked both fridge\freezers for me using some of his equipment. They were fine but this thermometer was useless. Avoid.

Bought 2 for fridges at nursery where we keep children's packed lunches (ofsted). On opening package one read 5 degrees higher than the other. After 1 hour in my fridge, same 5 degree difference. No way of knowing which one was correct, and considering I am only interested in 0 to 5 degree range both were a complete waste of time. Sent back via Amazon returns process which is excellent.

Worked for me, I found out that my fridge/freezer wasn't high enough, hence the problem I'd been having. The other thermometer wasn't showing the correct temperature. It does fall over easily so I prop it up with a tub of margarine

I am not sure what one can really say about this device, except that it does exactly what it claims; it measures the temperature in your fridge and freezer. The one that I have appears to read one or two degrees higher than our previous thermometer - but whats that between friends; whose to say that the other thermometer reads one or two degrees lower than this one.It is nicely made and looks very robust.RegardsDave Robinson

Have had it for a while, recently noticed the milk was often going off before the 'best before date' and thought the fridge was getting old. This thermometer was telling me the fridge was about 2 degrees. However an industrial thermometer from work was telling me the fridge was at 10 degrees.I've since adjusted the fridge, and am ready to throw this thermometer in the bin.
