I purchased this camera kit to fit onto my touring caravan, I have one camera looking to the road behind and one looking at the passenger side kerb. As I am usually on my own this makes reversing a lot easier especially those tight 90 degree blind reverse turns. I have them permanently wired into my caravan electrics via a fuse and rocker switches with the video cables routed through the chassis and coiled up in the front storage locker until connected to the in car monitor. I have tested these out for several hours of continuous use and they remain cool, so I see no problem in having these cameras switched on full time when travelling to aid with overtaking and also to see traffic conditions behind me.The cameras are well made and have I.R. LED vision which of course gives you a black and white image at night, but very good full colour during daylight hours. Each camera is water resistant to IP 66 and has an adjustable sun and weather shield on the top, in addition the camera can be rotated up or down to set the viewing distance behind. I can adjust my rear facing camera to give a full width view of my drive and at an angle that would show something on the ground just 1 metre away, or tilt it upwards to view the road behind to almost infinity. Although the cameras are adjustable you would need to set them at the angle you require and pinch up the two locking screws before travelling.There are no grid lines with this camera kit, not that you need them and each channel is viewed separately on the TFT LED colour monitor by pressing a button or using the remote control, meaning one view is always visible on the full screen, it is not split. There is also total control of the viewed image via the monitor control buttons, so you can rotate or flip the transmitted image to give the real view as seen from the cameras. The image is steady and clear and you can easily read a number plate on a vehicle behind you. Although it is a little more work I prefer the hard wired video cables from the cameras as opposed to wireless as the image has no lag and is more stable over the longer distance between cameras and in car monitor. You do need to fit your own cigar lighter plug onto the monitor cable cluster (only two wires) to power it up, but remember to get one with a fuse in it, maybe a good idea for the manufacturer to supply one with the kit. The above only applies if you are not hard wiring it into the vehicle electrics. There is no hard and fast rule as to where the monitor is located or where it is wired into, it will work with just a 12 v supply or you can wire it via the reversing lights on a permanent basis if you only need that option.You get pretty much everything you need included in the kit apart from the tools to fit it. Generally speaking everything looks to be well made. I did have a slight problem with my monitor which I suspected had a fault so I contacted the supplier (Pathson) via the Amazon system to advise them of my problem. They were more than prompt in getting back to me within a day and a very nice lady (Annie) sorted everything out with no problems at all and I received a replacement within a week. So they really do deserve 11 out of 10 for customer service, really excellent and I would have no problem in recommending this product and their great after sales service.

Have used them before and they are great but the most recent one I got did not work. It’s probably just a fluke. But they are very good cameras and easy to install

***Up date camera only works sometimes **Ok once you figure out the wiring diagram which is not very informative. Still unsure how to add second camera to Blue wire gave up on that. 500ma fuse was blown (or damaged in transit) which again was frustrating because when you turn it on for the first time & it doesn't work you check your work is ok, didn't suspect fuse, had to go to car spares shop, worked as soon as new fuse installed.

I bought this product with the 2 cameras to assist me with reversing my van and trailer into a garage. One camera is looking down at my tow bar, and the other looking beyond the rear of the trailer. A bonus is that driving with the camera on in a van is like having a rear view mirror.The screen does flicker sometimes but generally it is very good quality. I think for the price it is excellent value for money

I bought this kit to use as an engine-room monitor on a motor yacht. I was astonished to find a wiring diagram but no fitting instructions. I have fitted the cameras and wired the whole assembly into the engine room lights system. The cameras do work, although the picture is just about adequate. The problems I have are that the camera lights are not coming on and the camera pictures are "mirror-images" which is difficult to get your head around. Difficult to move forward with no instructions or suppliers contact details

Bought this for my large van, one of the cameras is temperamental and only works sometimes, apart from that seems quite good

Second time I have ordered this - ordered one for a friend and was so impressed I’ve now bought another one for myself . Easy to install easy to use clear picture and I know it gets boring but excellent value for money for this product
