Really effective anti-mould paint.
Iโve used this paint previously in my old house, so I already knew it would work well. I am having the same problem with mould and damp again in this house now (in the upstairs bathroom really) and so I decided it was time to buy and use an anti mould paint. We have the problem with black mould growing on the bathroom ceiling. Itโs relentless once it has taken hold, and no amount of cleaning and anti-mould products will generally stop it. Weโve tried. Plus most anti-mould cleaners contain large amounts of bleach, which then work to yellow any paint work it comes into contact with. Not ideal. So anyway, the best thing to do if youโre experiencing this problem (which Iโm sure you are if youโre looking at anti-mould paints such as this) is to use an anti-mould cleaner to kill and remove the mould as best you can, allow the area to fully dry, and then paint with an anti-mould paint.I recommend this paint as having used it before and now again I can say that it works well. Youโre looking at around 5-6 years of effectiveness before youโll have to retreat the area, and yes it will come back eventually, if the root of the problem isnโt solved. Which can be anything from poor insulation, down to condensation from damp.It applies just like any emulsion would, and doesnโt have any bad chemical smell to it. Iโd liked it to being pretty much like any emulsion youโd apply to your ceiling, you really wouldnโt tell from texture, smell, or application that it was any different really. It dries pretty quickly (touch dry within about 1-2 hours) and doesnโt require any more than 1 coat, although you could go for 2 if you wanted to be extra sure youโd coated everywhere thoroughly. It comes in a tin pretty much the same size as general woodwork/floor/etc gloss/satin type paints do (750ml tins) but donโt let that put you off, it does cover more of an area than youโd think it would, probably because itโs not a gloopy paint like gloss.Iโm so glad there is products like this on the market, because mould is a real nasty thing to have in your home.

Iโm Finished... But I Gotta Admit, Itโs a Great Product
Alright, listen up. Iโm just a humble patch of mould, minding my own business, thriving in a dank corner of the bathroom. Life was goodโdamp, dark, and cozyโuntil this RONSEAL Anti Mould Paint showed up. And let me tell you, itโs the real deal.First brushstroke, and I knew my days were numbered. The coverage? Impeccable. It seals in your walls like a fortress, leaving no room for my kind to take hold. The finish is a crisp, clean whiteโso pristine it practically screams, โMould, not today!โThe real kicker, though, is the anti-mould technology. Itโs like they studied my entire playbook and designed a paint specifically to shut me down. I tried to come back after a few weeks, but nopeโstill no chance. This stuff is relentless, and I begrudgingly respect that.If youโre a human looking to banish mould (or, letโs face it, keep us from moving in altogether), this is the paint for you. From one defeated mould patch to another, trust meโthis product does exactly what it says on the tin.

Effective anti-mould paint, but requires two coats.
I decided to try the RONSEAL AMPWM750 Anti Mould Paint White Matt 750ml for my bathroom, and here are my thoughts. The paint is relatively easy to use, though it's not non-drip, so a bit of preparation with drop cloths is advisable. The application was straightforward, and it adhered well to the existing surface, but you need to be cautious to avoid runs and drips. The smell is minimal, which is a huge plus, especially for indoor use. However, like other Ronseal products I've used, it didn't provide full coverage in a single coat. The paint is somewhat thin, and I ended up needing two coats to get the desired opacity and evenness. This is a bit disappointing considering the "one coat" claim, but not entirely unexpected.Once applied, it dries quickly and results in a nice, matt finish. The finish looks professional, and the white is crisp and clean, which brightens up the room nicely. While it's quite pricey for a 750ml can, it delivers on its promise to prevent mould, which is crucial for a bathroom environment. So far, I've noticed no signs of mould returning, which is impressive. The anti-mould properties seem to be very effective, and I hope this continues over time. The can itself is well-designed and easy to open, and the paint pours smoothly without causing too much mess. Delivery was prompt, and everything arrived well-packaged, preventing any damage during transit. I also appreciate the detailed instructions on the can, which made the application process straightforward. If you're looking for an effective anti-mould paint and don't mind applying an extra coat, this is a good option. Despite the cost, the results are worth it. The peace of mind knowing that mould is kept at bay is invaluable, and the overall quality of the finish is excellent. I would recommend this product for anyone dealing with persistent mould issues, but do budget for an extra can if you're covering a larger area.

Thankfully it's not bad but it is noticeable
Annoyingly during the wet winter months I have mould spots and patches coming through on one side of the house. Thankfully it's not bad but it is noticeable. I scrub the mould but within a week it starts to reappear so I decided to purchase some anti- mould paint to see if that would sort it or at least keep it away for a lot longer.I had seen mixed reviews on this particular one but I keep an open mind until I try it myself. I used it in the bedroom first and made the mistake of painting over the mould, pure laziness. So the mould came through quite quick so I made sure I properly scrubbed the patch first until I was sure I couldn't get anymore off, waited for it to dry then gave it another go. This time it worked as the mould stayed away.We had another spell of bad weather and I noticed specks of mould coming back but not half as bad as it was. I think you personally need to get to the root of the problem as to why the mould is there in the first place. For us its due to the gutter being broke so rain runs down the wall causing it to stay wet for long periods of time so no amount of paint will solve that.I did use this in our bathroom as it gets very steamy from the shower so mould developed in spots. It covered this perfectly and didn't return, I made sure the bathroom was properly ventilated though to stop the walls getting wet. I would recommend this paint but if you have a problem as to why the walls are damp then I suggest sorting that before putting paint over it

Works at Treat
Iโve used this previously on an en-suite ceiling which was prone to getting the odd spot of mould on it due to the condensation. This paint kept the ceiling free of mould for at least six years until we had the room refurbished.

Does not prevent mould reappearance
I used this for an outside wall larder with a lot of mould growing on walls !! Coverage was good and easy to apply .However 8 weeks later the mildew and black mould is reappearingTo be fair it could be the walls are constantly wet through lack ventilation!! But it was only about 50% successful in our case
