Perfect to provide some no-obvious extra protection to a wooden kitchen workbench. Just remember this is not a substitute for a chopping board. It is silicone and cuts really easily. This large size is perfect for our bench, other sizes are available.

Good material

We have had this a while now and I can say its excellent.Just enough thickness to lay flat and unrinkled protecting our hob top and yet can be folded or rolled when using the hob. I would recommend wihtout hesitation

I was getting a shooting pain down the ring finger on my right hand if I clenched my fist and bent my wrist.Wearing this has stopped the pain completely. Very comfortable to wear too.Recommended!

It is the first time I cook on a 5 ring induction cooker and I was so worried about damaging the beautiful black glass that I thought this mat would sort that problem. It does indeed. I read the comments that it waves and bobbles when you are using it and yes, with a bit of knowledge of thermodynamics you can understand that this is expected. Parts of the mat are super hot and others cool therefore the size mismatch causes this stretches in the surface. Not a big deal. I love that it is extremely easy to clean with a cleaning liquid product or mere soapy water and a cloth or paper. The surface is clean in a heartbeat. It stained in the rings position which aesthetically is not pleasing but my mat is light gray so it is more noticeable. Dark colours would not have this minor inconvenient. I am tempted to buy a second one as backup but the one I've got, well packed, well delivered non slip, great looking against my white marble like counter and fully functional for induction hobs is working really well so will continue testing it and come back to this without a doubt when needed.

I bought this mat for use near our sink where we put crockery and cutlery waiting to go into the dishwasher - to avoid stains on the worktop. It is perfectly-sized for us, giving a wide area for use. It is thick enough to provide a degree of protection and can easily be picked up for cleaning underneath if necessary. I've not checked its heat-resistance, but would imagine that this would be effective with items which are not too hot. Its transparency surprised me. I ordered the transparent version, but it's milky colour makes it almost indestingushable from our grey marble effect worktop. For the price, a good purchase.
