What type is this paper, i.e. 90 g/m2 (see description) or 80 g/m2 (see picture)?

When I bought it 4.5 years ago, the paper supplied was 90 g/m2 BUT the image (which matched what was delivered to my home) was totally different. Seeing as my purchase occured over 4 years ago, I have long since used all 5 reams so I can't comment other than what I've stated. May I instead suggest that you raise an "advertising conflict question" via directly with Amazon Customer Service as the image clearly differs from what is stated in the description. Is the paper wrapped inside the box (5x500 sheets), if not, is the box secure enough as not to damage paper inside during transit?

There are 5 of 500 sheets individually packed. The main box is secure. I have ordered this type of pack for years & never had any problems with packaging, or damaged paper.
