Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: Excellent recipes - This is a small in size but lovely cookbook which is offered at a bargain price. The recipes are varied, each has a photograph and the instructions are simple and clear. As yet, I have only read most of the recipes, which really did look lip-smackingly good, inventive and yet not difficult. The sweet recipes include things like lemon and raspberry slice, Summer fruits shortcake, pistachio and chocolate torte and jam roly poly, among many others. There are vegetarian recipes, as well as deliciously varied recipes for chicken, pork, beef and lamb and recipes for pizza and pasty. I particularly want to make the sauces and marinades for meat, since, for me, this takes meat-cookery to the next level. I have made the recipe for chicken with honey sauce and enjoyed it, though I would fiddle with the quantities next time. There are very few recipes in the booklet that came with my halogen oven, and I found myself having to guess timings and temperatures, so having this book is very helpful to me. So far, I am thoroughly enjoying cooking with this oven - it is clean, quick and effective, with succulent meat. There is an index with a link to each recipe in the Kindle edition, but it is at the end and therefore easy to miss until you get used to it. Review: At last - something that tells me what to do with the thing! - A good friend purchased a halogen oven for me for Christmas after her husband bought one for her. After a few very successful attempts using the recipes in the manual that came with it I was looking for a book that would take me further. There was almost nothing - and those books that were available didn't have much in the way of photographs (which I find hugely valuable when trying new techniques). There was even very little on the web. This book is the first that I have used which actually works for me. The introduction provides a coherent explanation of halogen ovens, how they can be used and what they should be used for. Following the introduction the sections are: chicken, beef, pork, lamb, seafood, vegetarian, pizza & pasta, on the side, breads & baking and desserts & puddings. Each of the 200 recipes is accompanied by a full page photograph. The recipes are well presented, with a list of ingredients and blow by blow instructions, numbers the meal will serve and estimated cooking times. There is an index at the end. The book doesn't pretend that you can do everything in the halogen oven, anymore than you could in a conventional oven and therefore includes extra instructions for sauces and vegetables that need to be done on the hob. For me, the best feature of the book (apart from the photos) is that the recipes offer a huge range of different styles of food and presentation. Examples of the recipes from each section are: grape & yogurt honey chicken, chicken with spicy lentils, chicken and mushroom casserole, steak and kidney pies, grilled steak with sorrel sauce, roast sirloin of beef, Caribbean pork with pineapple, pork chops Ardennaise, Asian braised belly of pork, lamb hot pot, navarin of lamb, honeyed lamb shanks, Malaysian prawn curry, family fish pie, salmon and watercress sauce, warm asparagus and haloumi salad, camembert-stuffed mushrooms, spaghetti carbonara, spinach and ricotta cannelloni, gorgonzola and rocket pizza, garlicky potato bake, poppy seed bread, summer fruits shortcake, cinnamon apple crunch, jam roly-poly and syrup sponge pudding. If you have a halogen oven and are not quite sure what to do with it, or just want some good new ideas, this is certainly the book to buy.

At last - something that tells me what to do with the thing!

Very Good Little Recipe Book
Packed with 200 recipes and beautiful photographs of the dishes, this book has recipes for chicken, beef, pork, lamb, seafood, vegetarian, pizza, pasta, sides, breads, baking, desserts and puddings. There is also a useful section which explains how halogen ovens work. As a recipe book the author assumes that the reader has basic cooking skills, so if you're a complete novice cook you'll need to brush up on kitchen basics. As with a conventional oven some recipes (eg roasts) recommend pre-browning in a frying pan, though with what I've cooked so far I'm not sure that's necessary and others (eg pasta, roasties) require pre-boiling, definitely necessary. As an experienced home cook but a complete newcomer to halogen ovens I'm very impressed with my halogen oven and this little book is well recommended.

Good book - quite small
Good book with a few additional instructions on halogen ovens and how to work them, clean them etc which is really good. Recipes are good but could do with a book that has a bit more inspiration of recipes from most other cookbooks.

Recipe book for Halogen Oven
Arrived earlier than expected. Has some good recipes and is well laid out; unfortunately it is not hard back as expected. Even so, at the price paid, is good value for money.

ot works for me.
my halogen oven was bought in a sale. there was only the basic instruction book with it. so was pleased to find a cookery book in the range i had been buying. it is exactly what i need. clear instructions. only fault, the second recipe on each page is in that awful light grey print. even with cateracts removed and strong reading glasses, it is difficult to make out. have already made bread in the Halogen oven and a baked potato that turned out better than oven baked..

As a first time user of a halogen oven, we required a cook book that would give hints and tips about cooking in a halogen oven, as well as some delicious recipes.

I recently purchased the Hamlyn 200 Halogen Oven Recipes: All Colour Cookbook. I find halogen oven cooking very helpful as I am an elderly person and stooping down is difficult for me. I was looking for a collection of recipes designed specifically for the halogen oven. This book is well formatted and contains some useful general information to help you get the most out of your oven. Recipes are categorised conveniently eg Beef, Chicken Vegetarian etc and the book is full of nice colour illustrations. Whether you are a newcomer to halogen ovens or a seasoned pro you will find plenty to enjoy in this book. I thoroughly recommend it.

Got the oven, now what? Got this cookery book--Wow! Not sure what I expected, but certainly not a little cookery book chock full of easy to prepare dishes that cook up in no time. This is a U.K. cookery book, so minor adjustments are the norm. But minor conversions aside (and they are minor), this little book packs a big wallop when it comes creating flavorful meals in these tabletop convection ovens. Would I buy this for friends? In a minute!
