Char-Broil 140 532 - Hose and Regulator Adaptor Kit for 180 Patio Bistro and X200 Grill2Go Grills

Purchased for use with the Char-Broil® Grill2Go X200M. The Good piece of equipment, well designed and manufactured giving confidence in safety when using - always ensuring a leak test is undertaken each time used as per instructions. In my experience it is more likely any leak will be at the bbq regulator end than on this equipment. What I have not seen in any reviews or on this equipments technical information is that it is intended for use in adapting a gas cylinder with a 27mm Patio Gas cylinder valve. Price maybe a little high but as no easily found alternative then ok. Safety before saving a few pounds!!

Works as described

I had a plan to cut off the regulator on this hose and replace it with a standard propane regulator... It doesn't work, the standard propane regulator doesn't allow enough pressure through to the bbq and won't allow it to light. The regulator supplied on this hose is a high pressure regulator and when used with the patio gas bottle (as its designed to) it allows a much greater flow of gas, equal to the flow of the small cannisters that be used with the x200. So, in short, if you planned to adapt this hose to work on the big red (cheaper) propane bottles... Don't bother, it won't work, just use the green patio gas bottles, saves hassle and headaches and still works out cheaper than using small cannisters.

Fits my Webber traveller bbq perfectly. Now I no longer need to use small canisters. Excellent value.

Run your char broil x200 on larger patio gas 5kg or 13kg cylinders. The char broil is an amazing grill and you will want to use it a lot. The small portable c500 cylinders are great for portability taking camping etc but I find I only get 2 cooks per bottle which at £5 a time starts to get costly. As I mostly cook in the garden I bought this adapter to run a 5kg patio gas bottle. Cost about £20 for a refill but will work out so much cheaper the more you use it. Very easy push fit, seems good quality would recommend to anyone wanting to use there grill to it's maximum potential. Just a note this works with the grills original regulator it doesn't replace it so if your having problems with your regulator this won't fix it.

Brilliant product! Purchased for the Weber Traveller, and fits onto the bbq well, and the adapter is a very snug fit onto the bottle... Not worried about it popping off, or being a loose connection :) Brilliant product *****

The connector that attaches to the bbq and that has the regulator fitted for gas flow feels a bit flimsy, amd doesn't always turn of the gas. I have been disconnecting from the bottle. This connector is for patio gas bottles only. Be warned that it is all it fits. Others have said they have tried to modify the connector fittings and it hasn’t worked - you need the correct gas bottle to attach to the bbq

I bought this as I'd bought a Weber portable BBQ without realising at the time that it uses a portable gas cylinder. I did a couple of searches and found that Weber do an attachment that allow you to use a standard patio-gas cylinder with the BBQ. I soon found out that it's hideously expensive! So, I did a few more searches and found amazon reviews for this product that stated that it worked perfectly with the Weber, and more importantly, it was half the price. So I ordered it, still with the nagging doubt that maybe something will have changed and that it wouldn't work, but it turned up and without a couple of minutes the BBQ was lit and cooking away. So great for Char-Broil and great for Weber!

For anyone with the product meant for use it's a clincher and the quality and utility is beyond compare.
