Great small EDC knife, quality exceeds price point
Wonderful small knife. Pivot tightness was perfect out of the box (usually have to adjust this even on flagship folding knives) and the blade dead center when in the folded position. Balance is quite good with the balance point on the handle just behind the pivot. Choil lets you choke down on the blade when you need more leverage and the jimping on the spine and choil gives you confidence in your grip as well as tactile feedback as to your finger placement. Frame lock is solid and does not bind up when unlocking for folding. Deep carry pocket clip (switchable for left/right carry, but tip up only) is solid but not overly tight. With the smooth wooden scales used on the model I chose, the knife clips slips easily over my pocket edge. The curve at the end of the clip is aggressive enough that the clip feels secure and not going to fall out. My only knock on the knife is that Iโm not sure about the durability of the wood chosen for the scales. Looks attractive; it's supposed to be a hardwood (cuibourtia is sometimes known as "African rosewood") so we'll see. Get the G-10 or CF version if that is a concern (actually, I love this knife so much the CF with "damascus" is very tempting). At this price point I think the wood scales are fine. This is my first Nitro-V blade, so canโt comment on how easy it is to sharpen or how well it will hold its edge, but the steel has a good rep. They do make a full sized Banter (under the parent WE KNIFE brand rather than the more value-oriented CIVIVI brand), but I like the compactness of this one. EDC knives keep getting bigger, but I prefer smaller blades like this in my pocket.

Small but mighty
The Baby Banter replaced a larger knife and hasn't missed a beat. Its smaller size allows me to carry it in running style shorts where my previous knife was too bulky. Came razor sharp, feels like serious quality, looks great, easy to open and close. Solid value for the money.

Looking for new EDC? Buy this knife!
Sweet little knife! This is my first Civivi so based on what Iโve heard and seen about them, I figured they were a pretty reputable brand and thought Iโd give it a go for a new smaller EDC. I wanted something light and compact as my previous EDC is a rough rider and is heavy and bulky (although I do love it). This knife fit the bill and feels like a high quality knife. Came out of the box plenty sharp and in perfect condition. Really nice carrying case and cleaning cloth that came with it (probably wonโt use it unless Iโm traveling but a nice to have). Color is exactly like the images. Opening/closing action is solid - first open felt a bit stiff for my liking but my old EDC was plenty broken in and I think I just got used to it. After 2-3 opens this knife started moving SMOOTH. Action is loose enough to flick open every time to a locking position only using your thumb (no need to flick your wrist to help). Thereโs plenty of room to get your thumb under and get a solid flick - I have sausages for fingers and have no issue finding the stud quickly and flicking it open nice and smooth to take care of the tape on a cardboard box. Incredibly pleased with this knife. Light but so sturdy, no wiggle or play in the blade at all - I highly recommend this for a compact EDC.

Great EDC
Fantastic EDC for me it is small, but great action easy to open. Holds an edge well. Easy to sharpen, good durable handle and blade. I beat thus up snd still black blade handle looks new. You get what you pay for.

Smooth mechanics but not at natural feel as expected
I have a couple of wood hilted small knives. They often feel great, and have unique utility, but mechanics aren't smooth, so I was looking for an alternative - something that isn't plastic. This is pretty close. It is a high quality blade and the construction is very nice for the price. Operation is smooth and the weight seems appropriate. The shape is nice, but I think in hand it doesn't feel as natural as I was expecting for a wood hilt. Maybe because it is thin and flat so it doesn't have whatever vibe I was hoping for - it doesn't feel too different from plastic. It did some with a case I won't use, and a cloth, so it was nice they went above and beyond seeing as how many brands are in clamshell or other uninspired packaging, even though I see no use for me. The locking mechanism is well convinced and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another knife from CIVIVI based on this first impression.

The perfect every day carry knife
I absolutely love this knife. I was looking for something small and lightweight while still being high quality and dependable and this checked all the boxes. Im using it with my summer edc setup which includes my springfield hellcat micro compact and this. The action is so smooth and satisfying, I find myself sitting here and opening and closing it all the time. And I love how the blade is curved at the bottom to give you more grip on the knife. I plan on buying more in the future and I may even be getting one for my wife since the size is perfect for her. I love the fact that I can open and close it with one hand, that was a huge selling point for me. In the winter I'll be looking to get something like the kizer drop bear and maybe a larger edc handgun.. But this would work all year too no doubt. If you're on the fence about getting one I can't recommend them enough. The quality for the price is outstanding, you won't be disappointed.

Adorably Mighty
Ok. Full transparency here. Most of the knives in my collection are Benchmades, but CIVIVI hits it out of the ballpark with many of their budget friendlier knives. The Baby Banter by Ben Peterson is no exception. I truly enjoy the micarta scales and the green color. The action is smooth and makes for a great fidget knife. The blade is extremely sharp and perfectly centered. I also bought a second one (the white G10 scales with red blade) and that was also perfect. The smaller size makes them a no brainer for EDC and easier to carry in my bra. Yes, I have bra knives. I may even purchase another because the purple aluminum scales with the black blade is looking sexier by the minute. <smiles> Thank you WE Knife Company!
