Box had 16 in it, not 26 as stated. Buy at your own risk. They are soothing. Worked better than my antibiotics.

Taste horrible
These lozenges have a horrible bitter taste and they didn't help with my sore throat at all. I certainly won't be buying any more of these. Total waste of money. In the end, I purchased an alternative product from my local pharmacy.

Burning mouth in seconds.
Literally I experienced a burning sensation seconds after putting them in mouth and spat it out. Imagine a normal strepsil but 10x more powerful and tasting like cleaning chemicals mixed with vague blackcurrant. I'm sure they work well but the chemicals used in my opinion are far too potent to be used in a lozenge.

WARNING: Contains wheat, limonene, and linalool
This product contains wheat starch (containing gluten), d-Limonene, and Linalool, all of which are allergens. But to see this you have to read the small print of the leaflet that comes with them, because these ingredients are not shown on the box or on the Amazon product page. This is ridiculous in 2022.

Warning NOT SUITABLE FOR COELIACS
These ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR COELIACS, I only learnt this from reading the info sheet inside the packet. So no use to me.

Turns out for anyone with a Wheat allergy it says do not consume, this is kept hidden until purchase as only mentioned in the leaflet and not as a clear listed ingredient

I think it depends how sore/raw your throat is. Mine is horrendous!
Frustratingly, didn't help my brutal throat at all! 😞

Best of all throat lozenges tried over the years
Actual medicinal properties not just a flavored candy lozenge. First bought in the UK. Stuffy or runny nose, sinus drainage down throat, thick phlegm I bought both the purple that is more medicinal in taste and the lemon/ honey yellow ones use both daily!

No need to fly to England or Ireland to get these lozenges!
Love this product! Purchased this when we were in the UK - and am so glad that it is available thru amazon! The entire Strepsils line of lozenges are soothing and effective without bitter after-taste or artificial color residual. It was a "lifesaver"!

Best cough drops ever
Took them every 2 hours for 2-3 days and it cleared my sore throat. Dayquil/Nyquil was doing nothing and without anti-inflamatories I was in agony. These saved the day and saved me a Dr's visit! Immediate relief, no more pain meds and was finally able to sleep without waking up Ina coughing fit.

Best ever
I had a horrible sore throat and these were the only thing that soothed my throat. I bought more just in case it ever happens again. I felt like I was dying but these made me feel half way human. Everyone should have these at home, just in case. And I’ve tried them all!!! They are a little pricier than normal cough drops but they aren’t normal. They are fabulous for sore throats!!!

The taste is good and it works well.
The taste is excellent, and the flavor is great. What's more, it can relieve my sore throat. If you have a dry, cracked throat, it can help alleviate the "cracking sensation". Of course, if you want a permanent solution, you should still see a doctor.
