I know it is considered heavy duty, but will this machine also be good for light weight and delicate sewing?

I used it to make my granddaughter two skirts and a kimono out of fine tulle and it sewed beautifully with no problems, also dance costumes of fine tulle and silky appliqués on same. It’s a dream to sew with.

Can this machine really sew through many layers of denim

I've only had this machine a little over a week, so had not tried to hem jeans until just now. The machine sewed through 6 layers of heavy denim and did a good job - I've never had a machine that would do that before! So far, I REALLY love this machine, as it's pretty straightforward to learn how to use. The only thing I've had trouble with is making buttonholes, but I haven't spent much time at it yet!

I like to know if you can drop the feed dogs on the Brothers tough and sew machine so I can do free motion quilting
