Platinum XL Plus Nose and Ear Hair Trimmer

I had never used a nose hair trimmer until this evening because I have survived using mini scissors and tweezers until now. Scissors were ineffective and tweezers bought tears to my eyes. This beautifully made machine is incredibly compact, fast and effective but what's best is that it is very comfortable to use, absolutely no pain nor discomfort whatsoever. I'm quite amazed - a rare 5 stars from me. I recommend spending a little extra and buying the version with the leather pouch and cleaning brush because the device is quite small and the case protects it and makes it a little less likely to lose.

This is the first trimmer I have ever owned. I specifically did not want a battery operated unit, but wanted something small and functional. I have used it a few times now, and while I think battery-operated units would be quicker in finishing the job, this one does wonders mechanically. Mind this is really small. You can use it for nose and ears. If you want a full-body trimmer look somewhere else. I can not imagine I will ever be able to break it. Even not after multiple drops or trucks driving over it - sledgehammers will do the trick if you so want. It really does feel that solid. I highly recommend this to everybody looking for a trimmer. I expect it to last me a lifetime. For its price that's a steal. Mind: any higher, and I would not have bought it.

My review on the Groom Mate Platinum XL Plus is as follows the ear and nose trimmer is excellent, better than expected really well made and works really well. I wish I had not paid the extra for the case and cleaning brush as they are not at all complimentary of the trimmer, it is almost as if its the wrong brush as it doesn't all fit properly. Just get the Groom mate its such a jewel there's no need to hide it in a case.

Purchased after seeing very positive reviews. I imagine it would work ok if you have a large amount of nose hair, but for people like myself with limited nose hair it can be a bit hit and miss. It isn't particularly accurate so you end up waving it around in your nose whilst spinning the mechanism hoping for a good result. Probably not entirely worth £20. The leather case it comes in also really stinks like a pensioners garage, which in turn makes the device smell - not ideal for shoving up your nose.

I just don't like it. it well made but really awkward to use so I don't use it.. I've bough a Braun electrical trimmer instead which I'm finding much better and easier to use.

This little gadget works by means of a hidden rotating blade that cuts hairs without the risk of cutting anything else. It is very effective at its job, and entirely painless: the hairs are not pulled when being cut. No batteries are needed, and it is silent in operation. The picture does not really do it justice: its all stainless steel construction gives it a satisfying weight and balance, and means it should last indefinitely. It is easy to clean with the included brush, and can be dismantled for a deeper clean (I have not yet tried this). Finally, a neat leather pouch provides suitable storage for the Groom Mate and brush. Any downsides? Only that the brush is rather cheap-feeling and loses its plastic bristles easily. Overall, a highly recommended item that is definitely worth the full five stars.

This thing is solidly made. But that is the end of the good review, it's very small and difficult to hold in position whilst also twisting the 'twister' to cut hairs, this is true for ears and nose, but especially for ears, where it's necessary to do one ear right handed and the other left handed. A good idea but much too small.

I bought this item a few years ago and it is brilliant and is still functioning today. No batteries required, just patience to use in each nostril. It is easy to clean and because it is small, it is ideal for travel. Great product.

Produto perfecto. No tray bolsila como en la foto, pero despues de indicacion al vendedor, lo hay resudro pronto. Recomendo.

Zero batterie e nessuna parte in plastica a rischio di rottura. Uno di questi vi durerà in eterno. Fa il suo lavoro alla perfezione (la "testa" più esterna deve ruotare dentro le cavità del naso, non la parte interna) e non tira i peli se usato correttamente (rotazioni rapide in senso orario e antiorario mentre lo si tiene appoggiato alle pareti del naso). Insieme viene fornita un pratica fodero per il trasporto. Non fare altro che consigliarlo.

J'étais pas sûr de mon achat, habitué aux tondeuses à piles. Mais je suis ravi, facile d'utilisation, pas douloureux et surtout plus de pile.

Ich habe etliche elektronische Haarschneider ausprobiert und muss sagen, dass dieses Teil hier eigentlich alle Vorgänger in den Schatten stellt. Pros: - Lautlos - Gründlich - Günstig - Klein und findet deshalb in jedem Kulturbeutel Platz Cons: Keine gefunden... Das hier manche schreiben es wäre etwas "fummelig" kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Mit einer Hand (bzw. Daumen und Zeigefinger) festhalten, an die Stelle führen wo rasiert werden soll und mit dem Daumen & Zeigefinger der anderen anderen Hand das untere Stück umfassen und drehen. Super simpel und meiner Meinung nach Idiotensicher. Ich vermute, dass man es mit diesem Teil auch nicht schafft sich zu schneiden. Gerne wieder! Lieferung erfolgte schnell.
