Nice, Tight Binding
These thermal binding glue strips have been absolutely fantastic for binding my paperback volumes. Once they set, they hold tight. Mine are only about 40/50 pages, so it only takes 1/4 of one of these strips (cut long-ways with a utility knife) to bind a book. In fact, they are a tiny bit longer than my books are tall, so I can put together the ends I trim off to make a 5th book out of a single strip. That ends up being about $0.20/book for glue. Not bad!I am using 11x17 card stock parchment (printed on an Epson WF7610) to print the covers, and a Fellowes thermal binder to bind them. Don't make the mistake of trying to print covers for an 8x10 book on a smaller printer, and make sure the printer can print on thick stock. Make sure the glue strips don't leak out the ends of the book spine, or it will mess up your thermal binder. I use the top of a butter knife (you can buy a folding bone if you want to spend money) to score the edges of the spine to get a sharp, straight edge. Finally, use a stack paper cutter to trim the edges of the books so they have that clean-cut, professional look.

I have used these for binding books that are thicker than the 1-inch binders, which are the largest I have found). I use a piece of aluminium foil and sandwich the glue strip between the foil and the edge of the pages to contain the glue and keep it off the heater plate in the binding machine. I then peel off the foil (if I can!) or trim it to the edges of the spine and put duck tape down the spine to protect it. Work well.

Amazing! I repaired a few books an make close to ten more using the Paper Monster 220 Thermal binding machine. These books did not have more than 110 sheets (220 pages) so with a scissors I reduced the size of the strips (length and width) according to the dimensions of each book. Do not cut it as the same size of the book, it has to be shorter and narrower, otherwise after the thermal procedure you will get a real mess. Remember: the glue needs space to expand when is heated (if use as indicated it will make you save money). Excellent product and if you committed a mistake you can reheat your book or notebook to add or remove pages or adjust the final proportions of the back of your book or notebook.

Strong but not east to manipulate
These stripes work well but they are difficult to cut straight. They stick securely but positioning is a hit and miss affair. You need a backing with the centre piece for the bind and not just the front and back covers

I really like them however
I use these strips to re-inforce the spines of my books. I really like them however, I just wish they came in different sizes because I have to cut them to fit my spines, which is time consuming. However, again, they do a great job in reinforcing the spines of my books.
