Product quality is very high.
The flag rope is strong, yet moves smoothly through the flag pole's upper and lower pulleys. There is no binding or resistance when the US flag is raised and lowered.

Rope failing at 2 years
Rope is very poor quality as it will not last 2 years. I would not recommend this product.Our first rope with the flag pole lasted 12 years before we replaced it.

“Outdoor-Rated” Rope Lasted 11 Months Before Turning into Dust & Regret
This flagpole hardware kit is technically honest advertising... if your lawyer is really good at the "sort-of" loophole. You get the cleat hook, a rope, and swivel clips; everything the picture promised, assuming you already own the actual pole. It’ll get your flag flapping like it’s saluting the sunrise... for about eleven months.The rope, however, is the main character of this tragedy. I bought the whole kit specifically for the rope because the ad promised an “outdoor-rated, UV-protected halyard.” Buddy, that rope has the UV resistance of a vampire at a beach party. Less than a year in the sun and it turned into brittle, frayed spaghetti that sheds more dust than my couch after a Cheeto binge. I can’t even touch the thing without ending up looking like I just lost a fight with a haunted vacuum cleaner. One good breeze and it’s basically flagpole glitter.For the price of this kit, you’re honestly better off buying a real UV-resistant rope upfront. This rope isn’t the weak link, it’s the “I will actively betray you in direct sunlight” link.Overall: Decent kit, zero-star rope. Buy it if you enjoy the thrill of a surprise rope-replacement project every 10 months. Or just do what I should’ve done and upgrade the rope immediately. Your flag (and your hands) will thank you.
