I love this new spf!! I am a regular user of Kokua Suncare’s SPF 50 sunscreen and the SPF 30 is very similar, just tinted and spreads a bit lighter, and I like it just as well (I now use the 30 for every day and the 50 for outdoor activities). Here are the things I love about this sunscreen: (1) high quality natural ingredients. I swear it nourishes my skin as well as protects it from the sun, so I see it as a skin moisturizer and sunscreen in one. (2) FDA approved. Normally this wouldn’t carry so much weight with me, but there are so many zinc based homemade sunscreens out there and who knows which ones actually work, so I appreciate this designation. (3) The subtle coffee mocha scent that comes from the natural ingredients! Thank you Kokua Suncare for not adding fragrances that, even if they are “natural,” often contain phthalates. (4) It’s the only zinc sunscreen that doesn’t make me eventually break out. (5) It’s the only zinc sunscreen that, once it soaks in, doesn’t make me feel like I am wearing base on my face - it has a not-there feel. It’s a bit thick because it’s got a good amount of zinc, so apply a small amount at a time and dab it around first, then rub in, and give it a few minutes to soak in.

Great sunscreen! Used this and the 50 in Aruba last week. Goes on nicely and since it’s tinted, you don’t see the whitish cast. No breakouts and works awesome. Used it on my face all week snorkeling and sunning. Didn’t finish one bottle for two of us. I didn’t need to reapply. But I do wear a hat. But the hat did get a little brownish on the band. Came out in the wash just adding some extra detergent to the band area. Smell is pleasant and plain, nothing weird. It’s worth the price to know it works and doesn’t destroy the corals and fish habitat that I enjoy snorkeling around. I also will be using this on my beach days to the Jersey shore because it doesn’t give my face the whitish cast or breakouts and we only have one ocean so I think it’s our job to safeguard it. Tested on humans not animals, yay!

I have been trying out this Kokua tinted sunscreen. I usually use a medical grade tinted sunscreen. I have found that this is so much more moisturizing. It stays on my face all day, doesn't rub off and keeps my face so moist and dewy (I normally have very dry skin). The reason I gave it only 4 stars is because I like to use tinted sunscreen for my foundation. The tint on this is very light and transparent, not like others I've used. This is not totally a bad thing because some of the brands I use are so dark they look orange on me, so there is a happy medium. Use this to decide if this works for you. If you are looking for light coverage and transparency, this is your brand.

I bought this for a trip to the Caribbean during the island's "hottest season." Did a LOT of research to find a truly REEF SAFE (not just reef friendly) product. I really wasn't sure from the listing about this tinted version, but I was convinced to try it by other reviews. So glad I did.It held up in the extreme heat for hours and hours. I rarely needed to reapply, and I was out in the sun and water and sand nonstop. Plus, I never once had a sunburn, and I am very fair. Not even a hint. Held up well to the ocean water, and plenty of sweat, too.In fact, I like it so much, it's become my daily sunscreen/foundation and it works just as well in the brutal cold of a Northern winter. It does go on a bit thick, so spread slowly and evenly. Also, it's a bit shiny, at first, but do NOT be tempted to put powder on top: you will end up with product pilling. Give the product a little time, and it does dry down to a less shiny finish. And lasts and lasts.Some reviewers found the scent off-putting. I'm very sensitive to scent, and I did not at all. But, just be aware that could be a "thing."Finally, I just LOVE that this is a small company, making truly pure products in a sustainable way. So happy to support them!

It costs a bit more but well worth it! Excellent protection for my sensitive skin and looks great on. I hate the chalky look of most Sun screens that are as good as this. It is very gentle and gives a subtle glow to my skin that I love. It moisturizes my dry skin while protecting it. It takes little do will last well too.

I bought both the tinted and non-tinted versions, and I love them both! I use the non-tinted version when I do yard work and the tinted version when I go in public. I've searched high and low for sunscreen that doesn't leave a white cast, and I finally found it (with the tinted version.) I signed up for auto ship, I can't live without this stuff!I love that I can wear both under makeup, and it leaves my skin dewy and fresh. It does not break me out and leaves my skin healthy and smooth to the touch.Note: it *will* attract animal hair within the first hour, so I would suggest waiting to snuggle your fur kids. Aside from that, it's absolutely purrfect for my complexion (light-medium, mid-40's.)I rarely write reviews unless I'm really impressed with a product. I felt compelled to spread the word about this wonderful sunscreen! A bonus that it's reef safe!! ❤️P.S. with any and all sunscreen, it's recommended to reapply every 2 hours. I do that, and I've never got burned, and my age spots have not darkened. Woo hoo!
