Solid little unit and it helps me to know what the internal temperatures are coming from the oven. No more guesswork. Lots of other timers and functions too. Easy to clean and use. UPDATE..... I bought this in the March but by mid December it developed a fault in the switch. A real shame ! I got in contact with the seller and they are replacing the unit. A VERY decent way to treat a customer. Many thanks !

Easy to read, measures the temp accurately, and seems durable.

very good thermometer very accurate, magnet will allow to fix on the oven, long (1 meter) metal cord will allow u to place it into the oven and put the panel the table.checked the calibration it was accurate.you have and alarm to the set temp. and will beep vigorously when temp is reached.

Not too sure about this digital reader, the instruction aren't very easy to read. Still haven't got it to work correctly. I got this at a reduced price but not sure I would buy it again if I needed one.

Worked fine for 2 uses then decided to constantly read 82 degrees C as room temperature... timer still works but pretty useless as a thermo. Shame as it's an easy to use piece of kit.

I have wanted an oven thermometer for a while now. I am always faffing around trying to get a joint of meat to cook properly and rarely am I happy. I have tried the manual thermometers before (a poundshop version and one i got from Sainsburys) but found them to be inconsistent. The pound shop one was frankly useless as it was so poorly made the dial could be turned manualy meaning i had to calibrate it with boiling water every time i wanted to use it. The Sainsburys one was better made but was slow at reading the temperature and not completely accurate. This was a very good buy. I wish i had bought this first time and saved a lot of hassle and over-cooked meat. The unit itself looks a little cheap but seems sturdy and feels well made. The probe is intended to be left in the meat whilst it cooks so you can remove the joint at the right time with out openeing the oven door and letting the heat and moisture escape. I tried it yesterday with a large Shoulder of pork joint and set the probe into the thickest point at roughly midway depth. The lcd display is easy to read (even without my glasses on) and alerted me as soon as the joint reached my set temperature. I put all my faith in this and was rewarded with a beautifully cooked joint that was tender and moist and practically falling apart. I am now planning on some pulled bbq pork as i feel i can actually achieve this now.
