I have tattoos, i know deet is a strong chemical. Will it mess up my tattoos?

I don't know for sure, but I wouldn't have thought so. It wouldn't penetrate deep enough. I would recommend spraying it on your hands first so that you can put it exactly where you want it to go. It took the top layer of my nail polish off when I sprayed my feet!
