This book is SO beautifully designed!! I'm absolutely obsessed with the concept and structure of it. Can't wait to start creating from it. The only downside is, as with many books I've bought off Amazon, it's arrived a bit bashed and not super clean/new feeling.

What a delightful book this is, I was a little concerned that the designs were only for TOFT wool but no the book covers all types of wool whether DK, fine, Aran or chunky. Depending on the yarn, dictates the size of character. I have so much yarn of different types of wool left over from projects it was great to use these up. The head and body are basic standard pattern then a flip book offers different ears, arms and legs. The whole book has been well thought through. The patterns can be as simple or complicated as you wish. Great instructions. A great book with loads of options.

This book is super cute and has quite a lot of options for customisation. Some of the shapes for arms/legs/ears aren't quite as different as I would have expected but it's still worth it. Quality of the book is beautiful and instructions are very clear, some great tips as well! A little difficult if you want to use safety eyes, as positioning is a little uncertain - but you can get the hang of it after creating one ! The instructions are easy enough to follow! I've read other reviews on the authors books and people complain that theres a lot of overlap between books - this is a great one to choose as it teaches you the basics of making these kind of toys which you can then adapt!

I enjoy crocheting simple things like granny squares or stripy blankets so I thought I would give this book a go. This book is fabulous and so easy to use. The body and head are all the same however you can choose which arms, legs, tails, hair and other bits you want to add to your imaginary creature. I am having loads of fun with this book and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys crocheting toys.

This is a lovey book with some very good pattern ideas in it. This was bought as a present as I do feel as with a lot of her books and patterns that the same elements are copied over and over again such as a the body shape which is the same in all the books. Therefore I never feel justified spending my own money on her books. Also a lot of her patterns are coming into crochet mags I buy. Look the book is great and is everything it says it is the only reason I give it four stars not five is because there is no angel policy on any of Kerry Lords patterns. This may seem petty but as the new big name in crochet I think this is something that needs to be looked at.

Das Buch ist sehr schön geschrieben (Es gibt eine englische und eine deutsche Ausgabe, die rezensierte ist englisch). Die Bilder geben Ideen und die Häkelanweisungen sind einfach und weiterführend. Meine Frau hat sie verstanden, obwohl sie nur wenig Englisch kann. Ich habe auch ein Tier nachgeshäkelt, es ist ein anderes Wesen geworden ... Auch zum puren Lesen gut, ist es aber ein Buch fürs Hobbyhäkeln. Lustig ist die Kombination verschiedener Wesen durch Umklappen gedrittelter Seiten.

An excellent book with so many possibilities. Very clear instructions, but I did need a video tutorial for some help with the magic ring. It's been too long since I made something 3D haha
