Looked at loads of tow ropes and reviews. Hard to tell what you're getting for the money. Even though it looked a bit cheap, this was reviewed well so took the plunge. I wanted a tow rope in the car anyway but this was bought specifically to move a knackered 4x4. The clips on the rope work well. It is elasticated, so needs to stretch to full length and take the load before it will pull anything. We successfully doubled it over to shorten that distance due to the lack of space we had trying to manoeuvre the broken 4x4. It's already paid for itself and it will stay in the car for emergencies. No complaints.

As the reluctant owner of a French-made car I thought it a good idea to invest in a tow rope. Thankfully l haven’t needed to use it yet. But having had a good look when it arrived I can report the following: - it seems well made with substantial attachment hooks at each end - the webbing and stitching are good quality - it is supplied in a zip-up pouch meaning that the tow rope (more like a strap actually) packs up into small pouch which is easy to stow in a glovebox. It takes up very little space. One point to note is that I purchased the 2 tonne version, which is fine for a standard family car but will absolutely not tow a substantial 4x4. Overall this is good quality at a very reasonable price and is reassuring to have tucked away in the car.

I have now had to use this tow rope unfortunately. It did the job , however there seemed to be a load of stretch before it was extended fully and I'm not sure how heavy duty it really is. I believe it is ok for cars and light vans but nothing heavier than that .

Ich habe mir dieses Schwerlast-Abschleppseil zugelegt, um im Notfall gut vorbereitet zu sein. Zum Glück musste ich es bisher noch nicht nutzen – und ehrlich gesagt, hoffe ich, dass das auch so bleibt! Erster Eindruck: Das Seil macht einen soliden und gut verarbeiteten Eindruck. Es wirkt robust, und die Angabe, dass es bis zu 4 Tonnen belastbar ist, gibt ein gutes Gefühl von Sicherheit. Die Haken sind stabil und lassen sich leicht befestigen, was im Notfall sicherlich hilfreich ist. Einsatzbereich: Das Abschleppseil liegt für den Notfall immer griffbereit in meinem Auto. Es nimmt nicht viel Platz weg und passt gut ins Bordwerkzeug oder in den Kofferraum. Ich denke, es ist eine sinnvolle Ergänzung für alle, die auf Nummer sicher gehen wollen, besonders im Winter oder bei langen Fahrten. Fazit: Auch wenn ich das Seil bisher nicht verwenden musste, macht es auf mich einen sehr zuverlässigen Eindruck. Ich hoffe, dass ich nie auf seine Dienste angewiesen bin, bin aber froh, es im Auto zu haben. Für den Preis ist es definitiv eine lohnenswerte Investition in die eigene Sicherheit.
