it works well as a lock. However, most of the keys of this type of lock can open this lock, so it is not very safe.

Key looks good, but not a very smooth locking action.
The product it self looks okay and the key looks great, but, the locking action is not very smooth and is often difficult to turn as the key binds within the housing. This may be a one off so please check other reviews before purchasing this particular item.

Lock is fine, but they no longer supply in a brass ...
Lock is fine, but they no longer supply in a brass finish - silver finish is now their standard. However, they were willing for me to return and they said they would refund my postage. One thing that I hadn't realised when taking measurements is that 63mm is not the size of the actual lock, as I expected, but the distance between the screws.

Useable. Deterrent, not a security measure. Reasonably priced.
Useable. Bought 4 for a cabinet project. 2 were very stiff but loosened with use and lubrication. These are a deterrent to opportunists, not a security measure. Worth the very reasonable price.

used for engineers wooden box,key on wrong side for this which was my mistake will use it elseware
