iDesign 78470 Rail, Extra Short Stainless Steel Tension Rod with no Drilling, Modern Telescopic Curtain Pole for Bathroom and Shower, Matte Silver, 66-107 cm

Love, love, love this telescopic curtain pole. And it's sturdy! I was sceptical. Initially I was happy to purchase this item because it only needed to hold the weight of a muslin material curtain, very light, across my front living room window. I received it, well packaged, easy instructions for use, and installation was easy. Having a heavier, lined curtain, width 90"/228cms, and a drop 90"/228cms, I wasn't convinced the pole would hold the weight. But I took a chance, and it's worked out perfect. Two thumbs up from me!

The shower rail turned up quickly in a long plain brown box, in the box was the rail in 2 pieces and instructions for fitting. The rail itself looks really good, it is stainless steel which in my opinion looks so much better than the plastic ones. Fitting the rail is simple but make sure you read the instructions, to fit the rail you need to loosen the 2 pieces by twisting the rail anticlockwise then extend to 2 inches longer than the gap required in your shower, then twist the rail clockwise to tighten again, once tight you can use the spring loaded feature to push the rail in to the gap required. One thing I noticed when fitting mine was you have to make sure the 2 parts of the rail are tightened securely which takes a bit of effort before using the spring to fit, if they aren’t the rail compresses and won’t secure. I have put this up in my brick built shower, it has been installed for the last 4 weeks and has not moved in that time. I have also checked and there is no sign of any rust, there are 5 people in my house so the shower is in constant use every morning. I didn’t use the included curtain rings because I bought some better quality ones, although these were easy to fit by removing the cover at the end of the rail and sliding them on. I would have no problem recommending this curtain rail.

I bought this shower curtain rail in NOV2018 and I've found it to be stable and sturdy. Initially I used it for a lightweight shower curtain, but it was able to cope with two shower curtains used together - a plasic curtain on the inside of the bath, and a cloth curtain on the outside, with double the number of curtain rings. Mine was the 'stainless steel' finish, and the only thing I would mention is that it does gets rusty after a few years, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. I've just painted the bathroom and am replacing it due to the rust patches, however the replacement will be with another of the same as I thought it was very good. :0)

Works really well, love that it’s adjustable and stays in place once fitted. Have doubled up 2 shower curtains on it, no problem. It does rust eventually but took a good year in our case before it had to be replaced. We bought the same again as happy with the quality of this one.

As the headline suggests, I personally found the installation a little tricky but that's just because I'm a bit of an idiot haha (so technically it should be 5 stars all round) I guess if you get the length right the first time before you tighten it up like you're ringing your worst enemies neck then it's actually a breeze, unfortunatley I was not one of those people and it somehow managed to pop out a little too far as I was tightening it and I almost ended up in tears because I couldn't get the darn thing loose again to re-adjust it. Cue a semi-desperate phone call to a friend with a plea for help (mainly just an extra set of hands) then with a little 'push and twist' elbow grease it was loosened and ready for attempt number 2... which then fitted perfectly :) In all honesty it is a fab product and if done right it is easy to install but just a little FYI when purchasing this, if you do manage to accidentally tighten it.. a little too tight (like I did) and it then find it doesn't fit right (or at all in my case) you'll be needing an extra set of hands to push the spring end back down while the other one twists, its impossible to do alone.. and believe me I had blisters on the palm of my hands from trying

I needed to hang as pair of curtains in my campervan. I needed a steel/brushed metal effect so this was ideal. Good quality and strong for the weight of my curtains (picture). The pole is telescopic so slides in and out to the desired length, but once you get it to length just extend it an extra inch and twist to tighten. The extra inch is so you can compress it like a spring to get a snug fit between top facing walls. If you don’t need to fit it like this it won’t matter. I am happy with this pole and would buy one again.

Despite the description saying: 'Secure Hold: The shower tension rod with patented mounting system also features non-slip grip pads, so that it stays firmly in place even on smooth tiles'.... I did not find this to be true. The grip pads are ineffective, recessed in the ends. Without hanging any shower curtain the rail slips down my gloss, smooth tiles, even when dry. When wet, even worse. I have installed this as tight as I dare without cracking the tiles. Shame because of the excellent quality of this item (perhaps that's it's downfall, too heavy?). I'm sure it would work really well on a rough or even just matt surface. I will use it elsewhere. I recommend that on flat, high gloss shower tiles, don't trust it. Maybe glue it???

I was looking for a rail to add blackout curtains to my bedroom, but didn't want anything that needed fixing to the wall as the place is rented. The curtains have a bit of weight on them so I was worried some of the cheaper rails may fall off. This one is great, didn't take too long to arrive and simple to put up. Took me a little to get the extension length right into position cos my windows are wide, but other than that, was very easy! I have to say, it feels sturdy and not worrying of it coming down. I've used it for about 5 days now and opened/closed the curtains without any issues. It is sitting in front of the blinds, you can't even tell it's there but it is making a huge difference to my sleep quality!!

I needed a curtain to block out light in the mornings so I can sleep. I wasn't sure if this curtain rod would work without affecting the function of the Venetian blinds behind it. When I first put the curtain rod up it did make it hard to pull the blinds up and down, but as you can see in the second picture I pulled the curtain rod slightly outward from the window frame. This left enough room for the blinds to work properly and the curtain rod still stayed up. I've had it up for a few weeks and it hasn't fallen down, I'm really pleased. I think as long as you follow the instructions right and you're positioning the curtain rod between two flat surfaces it should be fine.

- Very good product. - It seems to me that most of the people who had issues with this product maybe they did not spend the time to get used with the way the twisting works. You twist it (holding the rod with one hand on one of the pipes while twisting the other one) in one direction (i.e. clockwise or counterclockwise) to lock it and in the opposite direction to release the lock. When it is released you can adjust the length by extending the to about 1 in longer than the space where you need to install it. Then you lock it. Then you put on end against the wall and push on the other end to compress the spring inside in such a way that it fits where you want to install it. - You can repeat the lock/unlock procedure as many times as you need to get the adjustment that you want. - Also, I found helpful an advice that someone wrote in another review. For example: my tub is 58 in long. I could have used the rod with the size 43-75 in. But I chose the rod with 50-87 in size in order to avoid the situation where the two pipes, which are making up the rod, have their joining point in the middle of the rod. Maybe not a big deal, but I found it easier to have that "bump" in the rod located on one side so that the curtain slides more smoothly in the middle part. - The rod is holding the curtain very well and has enough strength to allow me to put my towel on it too, after I am done with my shower. - This is probably one of the best rods that you can install in minutes and avoid complications related with drilling the tiles and using screws in your bathroom.

J'avais déjà une barre du même type dans mon ancien logement. J'en ai rachetée une pour la nouvelle maison et j'en suis pleinement satisfaite. LES PLUS : - Installation facile : enfin une fois qu'on comprend le principe. Vaut mieux être 2 même si la barre est légère. - Stabilité : nickel ! N'a pas bougé depuis son installation au mois d'avril (il y a 4 mois bientôt 5) - Style : Un joli aspect chrome. Beau rendu dans la salle de bain. - Inoxydable : Contrairement à ce que j'ai pu lire, je n'ai pour ma part aucune trace de rouille (les photos date d'aujourd'hui) juste un peu de poussière et de dépôts calcaires tout au plus (je ne l'ai pas nettoyée avant la photo^^) PRECISION : La barre est plus haute que la partie douche il y a donc très peu de projection d'eau dessus. Je pense qu'il faut la mettre le plus haut possible afin de la garder en état le plus longtemps possible. Et bien sûr bien aérer la pièce (de façon générale d'ailleurs) afin d'éviter les phénomènes de condensation. LE PRIX : Achetée à 24,99 EUR. ça va le prix est correct. Au regard de la qualité du produit ça me va. JE RECOMMANDE

Ich wollte einen Vorhand aus Thermostoff in meiner Tagespflege anbringen, ohne zu bohren. Bei meiner Suche stieß ich auf dieses Produkt, welches gut aussieht und laut Rezensionen belastbar ist. Was soll ich sagen, ich wurde nicht enttäuscht. Die Stange sieht sehr edel und wertig aus, lässt sich einfach montieren, trägt den dicken Themovorhang problemlos. Kurz gesagt, alle Erwartungen erfüllt. Daher auch von mir sehr zufriedene fünf Sterne. Zwei Mankos kamen jedoch hinzu, die nichts mit dem Hersteller und der Stange an sich zu tun haben, daher von mir nicht in die Bewertung aufgenommen wurden aber dennoch benannt werden. 1. Die Verpackung. Man sieht auf dem Bild ein riesiges Paket. Dieses bestand zu 90% aus Packpapier. Die kleine weisse Schachtel davor enthält die Stange. Das hätte man vllt besser lösen können, da so viel Papiermüll entsteht. 2. Die Lieferung via DPD, ein absoluter Alptraum. Mittwochs klingelte es am Vormittag. Meine Frau hatte unsere kleine Tochter grad in der Wanne. Sie bat also darum, dass der Bote ins 2. OG kommt, da sie nicht runterkonnte. Was zu einer heftigen Diskussion via Sprechanlage führte. Der Bote, angeblich selber Vater, beschimpfte meine Frau, warf ihr vor das wären Ausreden, klingelte dann mehrmals Sturm, um dann wieder zu fahren und anzugeben, er hätte niemand angetroffen. Ok, das Päckchen ist nicht klein und die Boten haben Zeitdruck. Aber das Gewicht der Stange ist lächerlich. Ein kurzer Weg ins 2. OG wäre schnell machbar gewesen. Auch wäre eine Abgabe bei den Nachbarn im EG oder ein Ablegen auf den innenliegenden Briefkästen möglich gewesen. Ausser für diesen wutentbrannten Boten... Nachdem ich den Liefertag auf Samstag verändert hatte und selber da war, ging die Lieferung problemlos. Durch einen anderen DPD-Fahrer, der schnell hoch kam und nicht mal eine Unterschrift brauchte oder einen Ausweis sehen wollte. Warum da die Abgabe beim ersten Mal derart verkompliziert werden musste, ist mir ein Rätsel. Leider sieht man nicht im Vorfeld, welcher Lieferdienst die Ware bringt. Mit DPD hab ich jetzt mehrmals schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht. Da die Stange ihren Zweck aber wunderbar erfüllt und ich noch einen weiteren Vorhang aufhängen will, hab ich dieses Produkt noch mal bestellt. Und hoffe, diesmal bessere Erfahrung mit der Lieferung zu machen.
