Q: Is the drum supposed to be tuned to the key of C? mine has stamped on the bottom d and matches the key of D on the piano. The product detail is C.

Dear friends, yes, our steel tongue drum is 11 tone. It's D key. It's C key in tone 8 ● the naming of the key is based on the tonic. For example, if C is taken as the tonic in the simplified spectrum, i.e. C = 1, its natural tone level is arranged in sequence from C (i.e. C de fgab). This is the C key. Similarly, D is taken as the tonic in D, i.e. d = 1. There are two rising signs in the key sign. The scale structure of D is calculated, i.e. D, e, f#, G, a, B, c#, f is taken as the tonic, i.e. F, G, a, BB, C, D, e and G as the tonic, i.e. g, a, B, C, D, e and f#.
