Tacwise 191ELS Nail / Staple Gun with 180 Nail Selection Pack & 91 Staple Selection Pack (Bundle Pack)

Bought this to secure loft boarding to the rafters, and it does the job perfectly. The boards are 20mm thick, and I’m using the 35mm pins (you can’t really call them nails, as the are quite thin and there is no head as such). Nearly all go straight in, although a few need a single thump with a hammer, but these are the ones where I didn’t/couldn’t push down on the gun. These 'nails' have no head, so you’re not going to lever them out with a claw hammer, therefore I would only use this gun on certain jobs. You can’t rely on the head to hold something in place, but maybe the staples will in those circumstances. So far I’ve fired around 100 nails and there have been no jams. The gun itself is not as heavy as one would expect. 10/10 for ease of use. 10/10 for time/labour saving.

A bit difficult to find the proper position for firing the nails/stapples. Unless you press firmly onto the unit while firing, the staple would protrude 1-2 mm from the surface. Otherwise nice and smooth. Would recomend improving the safety. I believe that a secondary part in the fire buton (as other manifacturers do) would greatly improve the safety. The on/of at rear helps, but is not the most logical solution to me. The value for money is excellent. However, not my experience end with firing nails and staples to just test the capabilities of the tool, no serious load yet.

I didn't expect this to be very good given some of the reviews say it doesn't have the punch to drive the nails in properly but took a chance as I felt it would make it easy to build some pine racking for the airing cupboard. I was pleasantly surprised that I had no problem shooting the nails between the 2 pieces of pine making light work of building my rack, it truly was a real time saver and I'm glad I made the purchase! Just to defend the gun on other comments people have made about it jamming, I may have been lucky but I shot maybe 100 - 150 nails without any jamming or problems. Only one nail didn't quite go into the wood properly but I was holding the gun at a funny angle with one hand so completely my fault so as per some other reviews, it's key to hold the gun firmly against the workpiece as you pull the trigger or the recoil will cause the nail or staple not to fully deploy. My final comment would be that it's disappointing it doesn't come with any kind of plastic box to store it in the garage, mine is still in the kitchen until I find something suitable.

This is the second Tacwise 191ELS purchased in the last few years. The first one had an intermittent fault and kept stopping or jamming but it was useable and better than the hand operated items you can buy. Unfortunately due to the constant use of the jam release clip the connecting pin fell our and therefore rendered it useless, so, I purchased another one. Big mistake... This at first use fired a few staples and stopped. I started a returns form as it had only been 24 hours with me but after 10 minute's I gave it another go and it worked.. stopping quite often and jamming but I was able to almost complete my task. Went to use it again after a few weeks, I fires 1 staple and stopped. after 10 minutes it fired another staple, sparked and tripped my electrics and never worked again. Amazon was good enough to accept a return of this item. I would never buy another one. I emailed Tacwise to see if I could have a replacement connector pin to get my old one working but they haven't even bothered to reply. I have since replaced that pin with a panel pin and at least it operates to some extent. I would say that you should consider another brand if you want a nail/staple gun that is reliable.

Bought to replace an older model... This nail gun jams for a pastime... The quick release function, (which I thought was a good addition,as my old model needed to be dismantled with an alen key), broke within the first hour...when the gun jams, the nail is usually stuck between the plunger and the channel giving no free movement of the release system..the pin that allows the release lever to swing up literally exploded into pieces...at the minute I have had to use a bent nail to hold the assembly together until I can find a replacement pin. When using staples I find it tends to fire out two at a time every other shot . Even with the rubber foot, it leaves a slot in the wood where the plunger hits down..this is lessened if you do not apply to much pressure but then it leaves the nails sticking up proud of the work surface ,nothing a hammer ( or your forehead out of complete frustration)won't cure but it defeats the point of having the gun!!! When it works fault free it's a handy tool to have in your arsenal. 5/10

Un buen producto. El gatillo es muy sensible así que ir con cuidado. Algo pesado pero da una sensación de solidez.
