My 13-month old daughter and myself were prescribed Amoxicillin antibiotics to treat a double ear infection, sore throat (which caused a recurring high fever of 39-40 degrees), and throat infection (throat infection was mine). While I didn't have any hesitations about giving her antibiotics, since she had been ill on and off for so many weeks, I was still nervous about the effect it would have on her digestive system, which is easily upset by any changes, very much like mine. I was able to easily find probiotics for myself at my local pharmacy but they didn't have anything for infants/toddlers. In fact, when I inquired with the pharmacist if they had any probiotics for children, he said he had never heard of such a thing! For about a day, I tried feeding her bio-live yoghurt but she really wasn't interested in eating it, and it was hard to tell how much yoghurt was really enough. I did a little more research to find powdered probiotics online and I found Udos Choice, which I feel is a reputable brand and since it is specific for infants, I could get an accurate recommended dose (which is the problem I had when I considered giving her a dose of my own probiotics). The label on the front suggests it is a good course of treatment during antibiotic treatment, which is exactly what I was looking for. I mix the 1/2 teaspoon powder with my daughter's water or milk/formula, once or twice per day. I do not think she notices the taste, if any, because she drinks it in her water without any problem. I store the jar in the fridge as is suggested. I am very happy to have found this through Amazon, and postage from the current seller was very fast (within 1-2 days) and packaged well.

This is a premium product which I cannot recommend highly enough! Nothing else on the market compares to its superiority and health benefits. As soon as I discovered this product, I ordered it without hesitation; I use the Udos adult probiotics and know how amazingly beneficial they are. My son's eczema cleared up within weeks and and I have since continued to use it on a daily basis for maintaining general health. Recently my son had to take a ten day course of antibiotics which for a two year is very intense. Fortunately, the probiotic powder completely counteracted all the possible side effects which many people complain about. On day two of the course my son had a red itchy rash all over his legs. I increased the probiotic dosage to the recommended 3 times and the rash disappeared overnight with no further problems! A must have essential for all parents! I only wish I had discovered it in the newborn days to overcome colic!

I bought this because my baby (20 mnths ish) kept getting yeast infections on her bum. Since using it it has cleared up and not come back. Stopped using it for now and will have to see how we go. I think, as someone else has said, it has helped keep her regular too, which she was not particularly before and not so much since stopped using it. But the cost with postage and packaging added on is a bit pricey, I would still recommend it though.

I gave this product a try after my newborn who was born premature was struggling with reflux and also not passing bowel movements for 3-5 days at a time which was causing her discomfort. After trying the standard prescription reflux medications which didn't help, I was at my wits end and gave this a try since she was on probiotics during her stay in the NICU. After about a week of using 1/2 the daily dosage (because she was a tiny baby), she started to have bowel movements every day and became a much more settled baby and her reflux is nearly gone. I've purchased more bottles to stock up on this stuff, it is really a good product and worth the price.

This is the first review that I have ever written about a product as I feel compelled to share just how this product has helped my seven month old daughter. She caught a stomach bug and had had an upset stomach for over 2 weeks, producing a minimum of 8 dirty nappies a day, after using this product for 3 days (at the higher dose of 3 times per day) she is competely better. My daughter was born by C-Section and I had no idea that her gut flora was compromised as a result of this and had failed to think that my 2 courses of antibiotics whilst breastfeeding her would also affect the friendly bacteria in her gut. I will now continue to give her this 'friendly bacteria' for the forseeable future.

I never write reviews, however, I had to come here and say, this is the best baby purchase I’ve made. My 6 week old daughter suffers from silent reflux, nothing was working for her and she’d scream and be very unsettled on and off all day. After the first use of this product, she was a different baby, the results were instant! She is so much happier and feeds with ease. If your little one is struggling with colic/reflux, give this a go - it will change your life!

I bought these hoping to take the edge off my daughters teething pain but didn't seem to work although did work for her wind!

Health freak that I am Im starting early on my baby, I put this in his morning milk just once per day, I think it helps him stay regular when I'm rushed or we are staying away and for whatever reason we forget to put this into his milk he can have a propensity to get a little constipated which Im sure any one who has had a baby will go through, i don't like using medication to get him moving again so I think this has some merit, but now that he is getting older very week and started weening him onto food its hard to see the consistently, I think its a good thing to have so we will continue giving it to him

This product appears to be good quality however the description on amazon is lacking important information. The product "May contain traces of: Milk Powder, whey and Soya Lecithin." So it will not be suitable for those with severe allergies to these contents.
