Easiest 5 Stars I have ever given!
I am SO pleased with this. I have thought about getting one for years but then my mum brought me a curly hose a couple of years ago and I have been having to put up with that until recently it got in such a tangle it got a puncture and so I had a good excuse to bin it. So I had high expectations for this hose. It arrived the next day in a small surprisingly light box. The hose is very light and quite small until you put the water through it and wow does it expand! I have to refill a duck pond at the far end of my garden daily. The hose has to go over some large pots and around and through a trampoline. This is usually such a chore trying to keep the hose from tangling whilst sliding around in the mud. With this hose it is a breeze. I have used it for 3 days now and not a single tangle. I love the fact that once you have finished the hose shrinks again and you can put it away nice and neat. It comes with a bag to keep it in, but as I use it so often I am leaving mine attached to the tap but it is curled up in a small bucket. The spray attachment is good, you can adjust it for a finer spray for gentle plant watering and the fit to my tap is good with no leaks. Easiest 5 stars I have ever given

Worth getting this hose, if just for winter convenience.
When disconnecting from mains tap, turn tap off, and continue to hose, until water runs dry - if it does. My husband had warned me about this, so I let it run for a minute or so, and although the mains tap was turned off the water continued through the hose. Although there was still water coming from hose, it had been running long enough in my opinion after tap was turned off, so I disconnected hose, no problem with splash back at all. It appeared to me that it takes longer to "empty" compared to normal hose. We used our own tap fitting which was the same as comes with the hose, and there may some leakage, but the hose is really good in every other way. Easy to use, easy to pack away again, ideal for use in the winter in our wildlife garden to hose off feeder trays, fill bird bath etc., and handy just to bring out to clean car down. Saves carrying watering cans back and forth, well worth the effort to attach to tap, and use, and put away again easily.UPDATE: Husband just used hose again, and advises that once it has "expanded" any leaking at the tap stops. The more we use this hose, the more we are very glad we bought it. Definitely one of the better purchases we have made!!

Very good but you need to have an alternative spray attachment
We found that this worked very well - once we got rid of the spray attachment that comes with it. The attachment is small and light and has a good range of spray settings, but its problem is that it just does not connect to the hose properly. We could not push it right into either of the couplings at the ends of the hose, and with the water turned on so much was spraying out of the coupling that hardly any water came out of the spray, and there was not enough pressure to expand the hose. Fortunately we had other spray heads with universal couplings lying around, and these fitted the hose very well, completely eliminating any leakage.Once it was operating the hose was very good, easy to use and simple to move around while working. We started by using our garage standpipe which has good water pressure, then emptied the hose and moved uphill to the house which has lower pressure. This wasn't as successful to begin with - the pressure did not seem to be enough to expand the hose (as the seller warns). However we waited about two minutes with the tap on full and the sprayer shut off, and the hose did expand to its full length, and was as easy to use as it had been at the garage. When you have finished with the hose and let it empty, it contracts again and can be left to dry over the back of a chair or suchlike. You can then coil it up very easily, slip it into its bag (just a bit smaller than a supermarket plastic bag) and hang it up in the shed or garage. It takes up just a tiny bit of space. So, I would recommend this hose if you have an alternative universal spray head available. If your water pressure is low, have patience, make sure no water is leaking, and it will eventually expand. I would also beware of stretching the hose around any abrasive surface like a concrete wall corner, or catching it on any prickly shrubs or trees, as the fabric (it seems a bit like tent fabric) might tear.

Works like a pro
I am very impressed with this hose, after only ever owning heavy, leaky fixed length rubber hoses, this is a huge improvement! The hose comes with tap mounting attachments and a spray nozzle which is adjustable to different spray settings. Included with the hose is a green bag for storage which is a nice addition. The hose is simple to use: pop the mount on your garden tap, push the hose into the mount, turn the tap on and wait for the pressure to build up which causes the hose to expand and then press the trigger on the spray nozzle to expel the water at quite a decent distance.Once finshed, turn the tap off, spray excess water and watch the hose shrink back to its original size.It handles going round sharp corners well without tearing, snagging or preventing the flow of water. The pressure build up makes this hose excell at washing cars and taking dirt off.Overall, a great hose with a variety of use cases and is compact enough to hang on the back of the shed door. Much better than a reel style hose!

Won't buy again
This is a great hose. So great that when it got a hole in three months later with light use I bought the exact same one again putting it down to an unfortunate accident. After three uses the second one got a hole in it. I have a small garden, no gravel or rough stone. I'm retired and mainly bought the hose so I could do the front. I'm a bit old and didn't want to carry watering cans. I couldn't find any reason for the hole but of course it's outdoors. I wasn't pulling or stretching. No apparent cause. I really liked this hose but cannot risk buying another because there is no way I can prevent it happening a third time. A hose is for out door garden use and I would suggest that the material it's made from just isn't up to it.

Cheap basic hose
You get what you pay for with this hose.Although lightweight and easy to use it proved not to be very robust and the outer casing soon started to fray and split. Not long after this the inner tubing started bulging out in various positions before finally bursting rendering the hose useless. It was only used on average twice a week for two summer seasons of watering before failing and being binned.

mixed views....
This is the second of these hoses I've had and there are features I really like. They're lightweight, shrink down extremely small and are super flexy. The first one I had sprung a leak after a year but I liked it that much I replaced it.I moved house last year and the previous owners left a good hoselock hose & reel attached to the wall which I've been using most of the summer..... it was there, attached so I've just used it even though I prefer the other expanding hose. Anyway we're a year or so and I came to use the expanding hose which was unused all summer but lay in the sun only to find it burst at the end.I cut off the end hoping to shorten the hose a foot and re-attached but it has a machine-crimped connection that I couldn't re-attach to the nozzle. Not the end of the world.... i'll just put my finger over the end and squirt the water that way. Unfortunately it split again, I shortened it and it split again, and again. Looking at the expanding inner rubber pipe, it looks like the rubber has degraded & perished, I assume from being lay in the sun all summer. For a second hose that's not that old I was disappointed. Would I buy another ? Maybe, but I wouldn't leave it hung in the full glare of the sun when not in use which is something a garden hose should take. I still think they're a good hose, better in so many ways to the solid type but longevity seems poor and I can really warrant replacing on an almost annual basis.

Very Versatile Lengthy Compact Hose
With the coming of spring and various garden activities I thought I would invest in a garden hose. With my garden tap situated around the middle of the house I needed a long hose which would reach the end of my long rear garden whilst also being long enough to reach to the front for when I need to wash my car etc. This hose is ideal it is compact for storage (shrinks back down without water) and expands when water is flowing through it the pipe unexpanded is around 10+ metres (30+ ft) fully expanded by water it will extend to around 30+ meters (100+ ft), easily enough reach for front and back for me.Made from a durable latex ensures it will survive many years of punishment / dragging / twisting pulling etc it will normally have to endure. The ends are capped with standard sized plastic fittings for attachment to water source and also for the supplied spray nozzle. The multi function spray nozzle allows for 7 different spray settings: Shower / Flat / Centre / Cone / Full / Mist / Jet. The spray has a trigger mechanism to control water flow with a lock to save you having to continually depress the trigger.Overall durable, long practical garden hose, with standard fittings and a detachable multi mode spray hose and storage bag included.

tuyau
