Mamas & Papas Playmat & Activity Gym (Octopus)

We ordered this playmat after hours upon hours of research and debating back and forth, and I couldn't be happier with this product! Not only does this playmat and gym look great (which makes mommy and daddy happy), but our baby LOVES it (about three weeks and a half weeks when we got it, almost 7 weeks now). Every morning our daughter has her independent playtime on this mat, it's great because she isn't just flat on her back, but is slightly propped up, so she can look around a lot easier. She loves swatting at the cute fish and octopus and looking at herself in the clam mirror as well! You can also do a propped up tummy time on this. Would definitely recommend this mat, and would certainly buy another if they were to make other designs :)

Love this play mat! My 3 month old also loves it. It's not over stimulating and it's an attractive baby toy. My son kicks his legs and loves the octopus legs and the sounds they make. I love the stages and the elevated head rest.

Very cute mat and was a hit with my son until he could crawl. Love that you can detach the hanging toys. This mat is very soft but the fabric looooves pet hair. Using a lint roller barely helps since the fabric weave is such that it really holds the hair.

This plamat is so great! My 3 mo old loves it. The padded angular portion of the octopus is so great for not only tummy time but she loves being able to be propped up looking around. It is plush enough for hardwood floors and the crinkly legs and rattles are perfect for her kicking feet and hands! It's bright colors and patterns are perfect for her little eyes to look at and the little mirror at the top is a great tool for her developing senses. Definitely worth the higher price and can't wait until she gets the other mamas and papas plamat with the lights and sounds for Christmas!

I will say that I love the item but did not receive the item expected. The colors were not the same. Same brand and item just more masculine (darker purple and gray with different hanging items).

This is an ok item that is not as multi-use for the money you are going to spend on it but it is cute. It can be used to have the baby lay down but if your baby starts to roll over they will land on the floor because the diameter of this is rather small. It can be used to put them on tummy time again if the roll over as they start doing or lift their legs and they will go head first to the floor. So in the end I did not see this a a practical investment of a baby item as a baby exercise mat that has a greater surface area.

Cutest mat ever. I like that it's not battery powered. First of all, because I hate buying batteries, and second because it requires my daughter to do the thinking/association on her own to receive the desired stimulation. It's colorful and fun without being tacky. We love it.

This playmate is Just perfect! I loved and so did my baby. If You want a gorgeous, useful and non-traditional playmate, this is the one.

A lovely playmat,looked at a lot ofdifferent ones and bought this at a good price.Perfect for my newborn grandson ,It is raised slightly so he can see all the toys and around him easily.The padding is good and he looks comfortable lying on it.Sze is very good ,not too big and fits easily in any room.

Je cherchais un "beau" tapis d'éveil, loin du vert fluo et du orange ou des personnages Disney. A ce niveau j'étais ravie d'avoir trouvé celui-là sur Amazon. Acheté pour le 1er noël de mon fils de 5 mois, j'ai crains que cet achat arrive trop tard pour un tapis d'éveil (la révolution du trotteur étant arrivé au même moment). Et finalement, l'achat est plus que rentabilisé ! Bébé est à l'aise sur son tapis tout confort, les jouets l'amusent (miroir,...), le bruit de plastique sur les tentacules l'intrigue,...

Great product. My son loves it. Easy to attach other mobile toys to it for variety as they get older eg ones with music. Design is bright and colourful - suitable for boys and girls. Not too big and easy to store in plastic bag provided.

Very nice playmat, thick and colourful with nice additional toys / rattles. The octopus legs also are rattle-like. Multifunctional too and can be used from 0-24+ months. One star off the the material. I would expect it to be softer and less synthetic given the brand. It just looks much better then it is to the touch.... But still would recommend it
