I originally bought these ice packs to help reduce swelling following foot surgery, and they worked very well for that purpose. They freeze relatively quickly and remain cold for a reasonably long time before warming up during use. After I no longer needed them for their original medical purpose, however, I discovered an unexpected second use for them. I place one flat against the back of my backpack cooler and the other against the front. I still use a couple of frozen gel packs in the middle with the food and drinks, but these large ice packs significantly improve the cooler's ability to retain cold. I think of them as a sort of "sacrificial insulation." At the end of a long day, both of the large ice packs will be completely thawed, but the food and drinks between them are still ice cold. In other words, they seem to absorb a considerable amount of the heat that otherwise would have reached the contents of the cooler. I expect they would work equally well laid flat on top of the contents of a chest-type cooler. That second use has made these ice packs much more valuable to me than I originally expected. They performed very well for their intended purpose and then proved useful for something I had never considered when I bought them. I gave these five stars because they have provided an unexpected benefit completely beyond their intended purpose. They are useful, versatile, and have earned a permanent place in both my medical kit and my cooler.

I bought these to use after my back surgery, and they were exactly what I needed. They're large enough to provide good coverage, stay cold for a long time, and remain flexible instead of becoming rock hard. Very good ice packs, the only down side is they last about 20 min. I need them daily.

These have been quite handy to have in the house. I bought them for my dad who had a total shoulder replacement. They freeze quickly and are very comfortable for use. They were very effective at easing my dad's pain. They look really high quality and the size is perfect large area coverage. They easily covered the entire shoulder. I am happy with his purchase and would purchase again, if ever needed.

Very handy and great for any pain, aches or Boo-Boos. Perfect for any med-spa treatment and you need ice on cheeks, lips or eyes after injectables or botox. Also great little sizes for kids to get their mind off any Owie and perfect for the elastic strap I bought to insert these into the pockets for knee. Awesome for any / all body parts. Very handy to be able to pick a size to suit the body area. Even the little ones last a good time staying cold and within a few minutes becomes playable and not solid which is important.

We have tried a variety of things to make this work right. But, if we follow instructions, it is too hot to handle. If we lessen the time, it doesn’t stay hot for more than a few minutes. It just doesn’t work like we had hoped it would.

Every need a ice pack in a very large size? This does the trick especially for a wide back coverage, it stays cold for a long time, and remain flexible instead of being brick hard. They were comfortable to use and really helped with pain and swelling during my recovery. Great price for a two pack, I could keep one in the freezer while using the other. I would absolutely recommend these to anyone recovering from back or hip surgery. Buy it you won't regret it. Worked for me.

Good, doesn’t stay frozen for very long but great to use for face, and they are comfortable. The variety of sizes are great.

Heb deze gebruikt ivm een ingreep aan mijn oogleden. Het kunstof waar de vloeistof in zit is zeer stevig en de verschillende maten zijn perfect voor het geen waar ik het voor gebruikte. Meestal worden ze te groot aangeboden, maar deze waren perfect.

I ordered these after a brand name I ordered did not perform as advertised after a knee surgery. These work just like they should. Stay cold long enough for the 20 min recommended time. They are big enough to cover the whole area at once. The fact that you get 4 is a plus. You always have a backup even if you want cooling for longer period. These do not have a strap but i just wrap an ace bandage over it to keep em snug. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs a quality ice pack.
