Compact, nice heavy fabric, exactly what I was after.
Pieces are a little light, other than that no complaints, I wanted a chess set that would take up minimal storage while maintaining a bit of style and I think this hits the nail on the head, this is something you could carry in a coat pocket without it being noticeable and not be embarrassed to pull out in a coffee shop or whereever.

I originally bought the backgammon set from Sondergut, and when it arrived I was thrilled by the quality of the product. I immediately ordered the chess set as well. I wasn't disappointed. The two sets are identical in size, the backgammon in a brown leather and the chess in a grey colour. The pieces are a good quality, and the board is a great size for travelling. The leather, despite being rolled up, lies flat, and the texture ensures the pieces don't slide around. Beautiful quality and fantastically practical - if you want a travel set buy this - you won't be disappointed.

I saw this product in a really cool puzzle store on my trip to mallorca for €69. As a man who loves cycling, camping and playing chess I fell in love with the product as soon as I set my eyes on it.Its perfect-Light-Compact-Looks Great-Brilliant qualityBut I wasn't about to spend that much money with my wife giving me the look of disapproval when she saw the price tag. After a quick google I found this for more than half the price. I sit here now with my new favourite bit of kit! Love it thank you and it came to the door very swiftly.

Great value!
I very rarely leave reviews but this is worthy of making an exception. It is fantastic value for money. A shoddy cheap wooden chess set will set you back a similar amount, yet this oozes quality and is so convenient. Perfect for taking down the pub, camping, festivals. Bloody love it!

A bit of a disappointment, becaus it's a very nice idea. Unfortunately it ends up being very fiddly to get all the pieces into the roll, and the fabric doesn't lie flat, and so it's not the easiest thing to play. Still, it looks nice and is quite compact, one to leave in my bag for occasional use.

Ce petit échiquier est vraiment parfait, bien fini et très jolie, il est petit et pourtant il est d'une taille parfaite pour jouet, les petit pions sont simple à attraper.Petite information pour ce qui souhaite jouer aussi au dame, l'échiquier étant un jeu de 8 cases sur 8, et les dames de 10 x 10, vous jouer au draught et non au dameMais cest vraiment fun.Je recommande ce jeu et ce vendeur
