It just works.
Got this adapter after the first one I bought (the GANA one) stopped working on me after 30 mins. Was very surprised by how sturdy this one feels in comparison with a more metallic body over the plastic of the GANA. Use it to play my Wii on my newer monitor and it just works. The picture does get some oddly distributed black bars on 16:9 displays but its to be expected. The only complaint would be the lack of a power switch meaning I need to unplug its USB 5v supply whenever I want to turn it off as the box does get reasonably hot after a while. Whether this affects its longevity is yet to be seen but as of writing this review its all working fine. The 720p/1080p switch seems somewhat redundant given RCA cables could only output up to 480 and again would much rather see a power switch here.

nice piece of kit
This seems a well-made item with a rugged shell and quality connections. Purchased to connect composite from a DVD player to hdmi input of video projector, avoiding the ghosting seen when using the composite connection (cable length issue). It seems to play motion video without any issues, the reason I give 4 stars is that the displayed image only seems to be using some of the projector's pixels, image is smaller (75% x 75%) than e.g. connecting a laptop via hdmi to the projector. May be s a sound technical reason for that, but it's worth a star to me, since the projector is fixed so I can't otherwise compensate for the smaller image.

Neateck RCA to HDMI converter
Arrived super fast & well packaged, if I could give this 10 stars I would, it's very simple to use you just connect your yellow, white, red to corresponding colours on the converter, add a HDMI cable in the other end & then plug in the HDMI into your TV. Or PC monitor, & it is cystal clear, I hooked up my GameCube & the picture quality was outstanding, I did have a decent HMDI cable tho, so I swopped for a cheaper one, & the picture isn't too much diffrent.... I'm really pleased with this, I've had it about a week & so far so good....WORKS REALLY WELL ESPECIALLY ON A AOC gaming monitor.. Ps the photos are abit dark as I posted this reveiw at 10.30pm.....

Using it for the original Xbox
Using it for the original Xbox it works just fine but I was half expecting it to clean up and make the image sharper but it looks exactly the same as plugging in using scart which is disappointing. So if you need this because you only have hdmi ports available then fine, it will work for the original Xbox but don't expect a better Image.

Awful
Tried using in conjunction with PS2, it's terrible, from poor colours to blurry pixels

I am happy with this converter for my NES
Much better quality than some others I have purchased recently. I have seen reviews that complain that the upscaling is not what they expected, and it is not great for the device I used but I expected this with the original NES. There just is not a lot of detail in the original image and when upscaled to either 720 or 1080p it will look rough and basic. Not sure that any device can get a better image from older devices. On the plus side, the quality of the hardware is very good and it has a status LED, which many converters lack. The quality of the plugs is good as is the 720/1080 switch.

Great little gadget
After buying a new tv and realising that it didn't have a Jack input that my old tv had to connect my older (but still great) home theatre surround sound/dvd player I found this device. Really pleased with the outcome so far. I was able to connect via a HDMI slot and surround sound is working again. Picture quality is ok-ish but I knew I would have to sacrifice that to get my surround sound working again. Next time I buy a tv I'll take more notice of what slots are available.

Can view old Bose Lifestyle 18 settings menu on 4k TV screen with this gadget.
This was intended to allow us to view dvds played on old Bose Lifestyle 18 system and viewed on a new 4k tv which had no socket for the scart lead. The principle works and its very easy to hook up. Be aware though, that the quality of picture may not be what you expected. We've decided not to bother with the dvd function on the Bose system and just use the surround sound and be happy at that. Because of this, I was thinking of giving this away. Glad I didn't though as its proved invaluable for viewing the Bose settings menu on the TV screen - we had to change the sound source to optical lead through the settings menu which is only viewed on the tv screen. So all in all a very valuable purchase.
