Perfect for DIY - Compact & strong
My first vice, cheap and cheerful. Works like any other vice with good grip strength, etc for its compact size. Perfect for smaller DIY projects and acts as a 2nd pair of hands when your working by yourself.

Easy to install and use
Brilliant product love that you can turn it around on its own turn table, very robust, nice looking vice, good grip, easy to use and definitely value for money, would recommend 😀

Good bench vice with room for small improvements
After using it for the first time I think the vice is well designed save for the awkward turntable locking long bar handle nut. A knurled nut would be more convenient. The 17mm hex nut securing the turntable to the vice was loose, not a big issue to tighten it up but a self locking nut here would be a design improvement.

Adding a third hand makes all jobs much in easier.
Nice little vice, handy for small to medium projects, bolted mine to a kitchen worktop. Only thing I did add was a pair of jaw guards.

Good value, perfect for light DIY tasks.
As described and works fine for my tpye of home use..... ....I use it for odd jobs, mainly working on kids toys / bike and motorcycles as opposed to trying to clamp half a ton of wood, which judging by other reviews it is not so good for. It's a decent size for the kind of work I do with it, and seems to lock on position quite well, I am very happy with it, I suspect if you want to hold planks of wood in place whilst you chop them up a non-swivel type may be better, but for day-to-day tasks it seems very good.

Very good, considering the price
I don't think for the price I paid (£29 at the time of writing) you can't go too far wrong with this bench vice Obviously it'll never be as good as a heavy duty vice from Record etc but these cost many many times the price. I use this in my garage for working on cars and I sometimes have a requirement to clamp a component in a vice while I work on it, and 4" is big enough capacity for holding most items I could think to use it for. Worth noting that it doesn't come with any mounting hardware. I drilled 4x 8mm holes in my bench and used some M8x45mm bolts and nuts that I already had spare which holds it down perfectly (obviously the depth of the bolts will vary depending on the surface you are mounting to, but I think M8 is a good size).

Value for money quality product - well worth it if 4inches is all you need!
Nice build, only used for small jobs but feels like excellent quality. Doesn't come with bolts to secure base but that's as expected. Would have bought the larger 6inch one this is fare better value for money. Updated: I have been using this vice pretty much weekly now since I'v had it. I've never 'needed' a vice before but thought it was a useful tool. Now having had one, I would say it's a real asset to my DIY work bench. Everything from Soldering to holding screws when cutting with the Dremmel. I've used it for hammering down on and even fixing the kids headless dolls. Now updated to 5/5. Thanks you Stanley for the great quality and price.

Using for light DIY & Bike Maintenance.
After building myself a shed with work bench etc for light work and bicycle maintenance, having a Vice for holding components & projects is a pretty critical bit of kit. Upon arrival I was a little surprised at the small size of the vice, especially compared to my dad's 100 year old blacksmith grade vice etc But after anchoring it to my workbench despite its size its a brilliant bit of kit it holds firm and the ability to rotate it so it's out of the way / at a good angle is a great idea. Only issue I found at first was the rotation consisted of a couple of degrees, not much use but after flipping it over and seeing the C shaped track underneath I realised it should rotate much further & I decided to apply some grease & wiggle it (a little force required at time) then it all worked perfectly, now its anchored to my worktop and can rotate freely when needed. Overall happy with my purchase but definitely make sure you anchor it to something & if it isn't rotating, grease it up well and ensure its running smoothly before anchoring. Note: this is a lighter vice overall, so If your looking to bash things with lump/sledge hammers you'll certainly want something bigger.

Ottimo prodotto
