Adequate replacement flush valve.
This valve was purchased as a replacement for my original one of the same type which was broken. It's easy to fit but beware that there are no fitting instructions supplied with the item. Fortunately I had kept my original installation instructions which is just as well, as the new one had to be adjusted to replicate my original. Suggest that anyone buying this takes time to check the settings on the one they're replacing before fitting it...

Brilliant direct replacement for 20 year old cistern
Really surprised to find this on Amazon as it is a direct, same manufacturer, replacement for the flush valve that has finally gone on our 20 year old Vernon Tutbury cistern. If you are happy with a bit of DIY it is really easy to do. You need no plumber and I didn't even bother to turn off the water though that is probably recommended for peace of mind. Mine came with no instructions but there are YouTube videos that show how to install it if you look.

Direct replacement - solved the leak. Good price.
Excellent product! Direct inlet valve replacement and perfect fit. Resolved the constant loss of water from the toilet cistern and constant dripping of water into the toilet bowl. Easy to fit with the two clips/lugs.

Does the job
I am not particularly enamoured with this kind of flush which, prone to leaking, seams so much less satisfactory than the good old fashioned syphon systems which could last decades without leaking. But this is a review of the product being sold and it was quick and easy to fit and seems for now to have solved the leak the one previously installed had developed. But it has the same flaws as the original which will probably lead it to leak at some point in the future

Good price - Genuine Part
Works well and much cheaper than buying the full replacement which includes the u-shaped arm which connects to the push buttons. If you are trying to work out how to access the cistern and you have the crescent shaped buttons1) Ideally turn off the water - don't worry of you can't - you'll just have water running all the time when doing the work - and it will go down the toilet.2) Make a note of which way round the buttons are - ie is small flush to the left or the right3) Push and hold down the main flush button and you will see a notch in the small flush - grip this and pull up - then remove the main flush button4) Undo the plastic screw with a large flat blade screw driver - be careful the plastic is soft5) Lift up the cistern lid.6) make a note of which side the greeny-blue coloured tab on top of the valve is7) Reach down and squeeze the two tabs holding the Geberit replacement Dual Flush Cistern Valve to the bottom of the cistern - you might need to push down a bit to release.8) Set the greeny-blue cup shaped part to the same as on the old valve.9) Count the number of free holes and then remove the u-shaped plastic extension piece from the old and put on the new.10) Gently push the new valve into place11) replace the cistern lid12) check the u-shaped extension piece is near to but not touching the underside of the cistern lid13) Adjust U-shaped extension piece as necessary14) reattach plastic screw and reassemble button.15) turn water back on
