Can this be used on velvet upholstery?

I have only used it on normal carpet. The bristles are very strong and I, personally, would not use it on velvet which is a softer fabric.

Is this suitable for regular carpets with a long pile?

Hi, yes I have used one on our home rugs and it works fine

Is this anygood for faux suede couches ?

Sorry but I cannot comment as I have not used on such furniture, however I would say that the bristles are VERY tough and brilliant on carpets.
