It definitely covers the gray and blends well
I love this hair powder. It really does help with the gray hair and it covers nicely. I bought a special brush to use with the powder at Sephora. They have a variety of brushes you can get. I got a handheld one that’s short and stocky works really well.

Not really black
First, this is a GREAT product and I have used Madison Reed products for years with zero complaints or issues.The only reason I gave this 4 stars is because it is NOT black. It is a dark brown. I can mix with other products I have for the right tone, but should not have to do that. The product I ordered said that it was black, but it is really a medium to dark brown. Just note that..

Not what I expected
No better than a cheaper spray. Not what I expected. Don’t touch your the hair that you covered. It smears. It stiffens hair but not as bad as a spray cover up. Save your money, I used permanent black marker.
