Can someone share the actual depth? It says 3.5 inches but it doesn't look it. help???

Definitely not 3.5 inches deep, more like 2.5. It is very big though and great for a cobb salad. It would probably work well for soup too but haven't tried. I'll see if I can attach some pics somehow.

What is the height/depth of the bowls? They appear more shallow than 3.5 inches deep.

These bowls are very large and heavy. I do not remember the depth, my guess is at least two inches. Re very big bowls to handle a full course dinner including salad.
