I can see some reviews saying it is fat phobic and that it is culturally insensitive. It was also written in 2002! The world has changed in 19 years. Were accepting our bodies more and putting recognition to the cultures who introduced their spiritual rituals to the world etc. This book does not Fat shame - the author explains how if you wanted to lose weight (which is perfectly valid) You can utilise the moon to help your energies achieve your goals. Just how you can utilise the moon's energies to help you beat procrastination, get a job interview, reduce stress etc. The author Diane, is educating on different topics of magick and also explains to do further research. You should always do additional research into everything you read, and if you learn something is a closed practise (such as the use of white sage - look it up) you can choose to find a suitable alternative. This is the first book that has answered some of my own questions on my spiritual journey. It gives you a different way to approach your magick which is not strictly Wiccan. Ways to protect yourself, cast circles and formations and use incense, crystals, the days of the week and more to add ompft to your spell. Honestly, well worth the read and I'll be buying the physical copy and adding it to my collection. Moon Spells
Being a newby to Phases of the Moon and its Rituals (Spells) I have found this book really useful. It explains the basics without getting too technical and offers some interesting rituals that are easy to follow. I've thoroughly enjoyed so much so that I've bought a further 3 copies to give away as presents. I will let you know how well the spells work in due course...

If you are seeking a book with spells, this is the book for you!
Diane Ahlquist has produced a brilliant, practical book that is perfect for the beginning practitioner or the advanced. This book includes all kinds of moon spells from Money, Love, Work, Healing, Protection and even Banishment of nuisances in your life. It has a wonderful guide on how to set up your rituals, in depth with in which way to face, what layout to use, from candles and incense most effective in the ritual. Incantations and invocations in specific needs and what to expect. She also explains candle colours among other useful information. A excellent resource in have in your home library, extremely recommended.

Really enjoyed this book. I havent tried the spells yet but I have folded the pages in the book and look forward to giving them a shot. There is a lot of really great info in this book about utilizing the moons energy in your practice and also performing spellwork in general. I’ve been practicing for a while but this book definitely refreshed my memory on some important things and I now see this as one of my new favourite books to reference back to when needed!

This is really a good book of spells to clear your basics. And explains everything in detail in simple language. If you've just got into witchery take my advice and get this one.
