Bought first one 5 plus years ago, on the deck and sun destroyed the material, just received new one, 6'1, 250#, FABULOUS chair height and comfort could not be better.

Ok, really like this chair. I've gotten by in the past with folding lawn chairs, but this ALPS rocking chair is a game changer for me. Comfortable and sturdy for my 6 foot 200 lb frame. Just note that there are no instructions with it. There is a silver catch on the right side front as you are sitting in it that for latching it when closed. There is another thumbwheel type catch next to your right foot as you sit in it to lock it in place, otherwise it tries to fold up on you. Overall, a great purchase and I would get another one in a heartbeat if I needed one for a potential girlfriend or one of my buddies. Thanks, ALPS. Another great product.

I bought this chair for my 80 year old mom who loves to sit outdoors and loves to rock. This was a very nice chair, well constructed and rocks nicely. My mom loves it!! Thank you ALPS , you made my mom's Mother's Day a happy one!!!

Generally this is a well built chair and I like the rocker, which is made to have a good swing.At 5’9” and 250# this chair seat was too high off the ground for me. It is built for a tall, slender person. The seat was almost wide enough for me, but I had to sit just right or the front tips of the side bars pressed uncomfortably against my outer thighs. My 5’5” wife said the front of the seat cut into the back of her knees and she could barely reach the ground with her toes.Because of that, plus a joint at the hinge that clunked with rocking, we returned tis item and ordered one from Timber Ridge. Too bad, because I liked the high back. The Timber Ridge chairs are not high enough to lay my head back but are more comfortable for my frame size.

I’m not much for leaving reviews but this rocker deserves one. Having had an active sports life and multiple orthopedic surgeries, I’ve become very particular about chairs.Nice high back, plus a good seated position that doesn’t hurt my injured neck and back like most portable chairs do. Other reviews had mentioned it being more narrow and not as big and wide as the Cabela’s model, but it’s just wide enough for me and fits in my motorhome storage bay. I’m 6’2, 235lbs and it fits me just fine. Nice product and a good rocking chair.

The media could not be loaded. I'm 6' 1" 225lbs with a longer torso and this chair fits me perfectly. Its material is thicker and of higher quality than most.BUYER TIP: I had trouble unfolding it after I pulled it out of the box. Turns out there is a small silver swinging doodad rivet catch on the side rail. Unlatch it and the chair will spring to life. There is also one thumb-wheel down tube rod (at the front of the rocker rail). When turned, the rod pops down into a hole and locks out the folding mechanism. If you do not engage this rod, the chair will want to fold itself together. I'm passing this info along because there were no instructions included. Just a warranty card.

Great collapsible/ folding rocking chair. Holds up to 300 pounds. Weight is 17 pounds. I saw and sat in one at a sporting's good store and was immediately sold. No pressure points and it has a nice easy, long rocking to it. I also Love the high back style. The exposed metal is powder coated. Hand rests are plastic. They only had one and I needed two plus were forty bucks each less here. I placed and order for two on a Sunday and they were delivered by Wednesday afternoon. I did have one hiccup.... a 3" piece of plastic was broken off the side of one of the arm rests. It looked as if the package had some rough handling through either UPS or from the Mfg but nothing that I would have indicated I should have refused delivery. The chip It didn't interfere with the functionality of the rocker at all. I decided to keep it as it and a little epoxy and dark brown tape for added support fixed it so you wouldn't even notice. I did contact the vendor and they IMMEDIATELY took care of me. Best Customer Service I've ever experienced concerning a problem with a product. The other rocker arrived with no damage at all. The Mfg should have placed stiff Styrofoam or extra shipping protection around those arms. Overall, I'd say it was a Super Buy on a great folding rocking chair.

It’s very sturdy, comfortable and easily closes with a latch to keep it closed. Great for transport!

Bought this for my elderly father for his birthday, and he was very excited about it. Not too heavy, quite sturdy, easy to unfold and fold, and the high back means he can rest himself in it properly.Came pre-assembled, all we had to do was take it out of the box, remove some plastic and cardboard protective packaging, and unfold it. Dad loved it!
