This, 5th edition is more readable from previous ones and more complete. It is aligned with the ISO 21500 Standard for Project Management and also aligned with other PMI's standards like the Standard for Program Management 3rd ed. and the Standard for Portfolio Management 3rd ed. A new chapter / Knowledge area has been created "Project Stakeholder Management" by splitting the "Project Communication Management" chapter of the previous edition and adding emphasis on "Stakeholder engagement". The processes now are increased to 47 from 42 of the previous edition. However the naming is much more consistent and easy to remember. So, even if the number is higher the complexity is reduced. All the chapters of the previous edition (4th) have been improved and seem more complete and readable. Since this book is the essential read for the PMP and CAPM certifications, it is important to note that this edition covers more useful information for the exam - previously found mostly on exam preparation books. So the readers of this edition get a more complete set of tools and approaches. Even if you are not planning to be certified this is an extremely useful book - guide for practicing Project Managers and managers, since it covers practically all the aspects of the actions and skills for someone to successfully transform an idea into reality. The best practices of the project management
This book sets the standards of the project management, showing the best practices. The PMI is an institute of reference in this area, and project managers, around the world, share their knowledge to complete the PMBook. That is why, is a book to consult in every phase of a project. I would recommend this book to everyone interested in project management, to clarify his/her knowledge, and be able to complete a project with success.

Its good..
Its good.... careful though as the 2018 version coming out is much bigger... the 6th edition is very different too. This is one book that changes a lot each edition... it is a body of knowledge after all.

Amazing read! Couldn't put it down. Arrived on time and in excellent condition. Will definitely employ principles and theories to major publically funded projects on Arrakis and elsewhere in the UK.

Some things aren't easily understood but it is a definite must have for the exam...well in my opinion at least. I thought the layout and explanations were done well for Inputs, Tools & Techniques, outputs in the PMBOK guide in comparison to other books. It's a good combination to be used in conjunction with Rita's PMP exam prep

Excellent condition - as listed
This item was listed as 'new' and when received the pages and binding were crisp and perfect. I've not yet had a chance to read through it and therefore cannot comment on the value of the content, but insofar as the service provided by the seller it was top notch. Customer Service was available via email and responded quickly. The information they offered was helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend!

Useful book to have around.
I saved on the full book cost by about £20. However the print quality is poor. One can see the text on the other side of the page. However the book is very useful for quick reference.

Exactement ce que j'attendais. Bien structure et complet. Toutes les base sont clairement expliques puis approfondies. Indispensable pour quiconque veut gerer des projets, ou participer dans un projet.

Buona qualità della carta e della rilegatura, è la penultima versione del PMBOK
E' la versione vecchia (adesso c'è la sesta) del classico PMBOK, comunque ottimo per una introduzione all'argomento del Project Management. La fattura della carta è buona, così come la rilegatura. Le pagine grigie (anti-contraffazione) non sono fastidiose.

Es obligatorio leerlo y comprenderlo sólo con un curso u otro libro
Es un marco de referencia, no una metodología. Su lectura es compleja pq es un manual ingenieril. Si embargo, es brillante. En un sólo libro se concentran las mejores prácticas de gestión de proyectos del mundo. Tengo más de 15 años dando clases y consultoría en gestión de proyectos, estoy muy cercana al PMI y creo que si alguien considera que no sirve o que es burocrático es porque no lo comprende bien. Es fundamental para estar en la tendencia mundial en el tema.
