Spot on!
I was looking for a compact telescope for terrestrial and celestial use and this is just perfect. It's solidly built, the focus is smooth (although exacting and you have to be very gentle, overshoot and come back just a smidgen, as on a microscope). Optically I haven't pushed it to its limits yet, but for 'regular' daytime use it's proving great without colored edges, crisp images and excellent light collection. So I'm really very happy and looking forward to saying hello to the moon. I took a punt on the purchase too - it was an 'Amazon Warehouse' return and they cited 'minor damage to the front'. Well, optically it's absolutely fine and so far as I can tell this just meant someone had already opened the box. So not bad for 50% off!

Excellent grab and go for astronomy.
Excellent telescope which I use for astronomy. I bought the celestron alt-azi tripod and a laser pointer (see photo, and used an O ring to keep it straight) as the finder supplied isn't very good. I can set the telescope up in minutes so can grab views of the moon and planets at the drop of a hat! I tried other eyepieces but found the one supplied is good quality and the right magnification. Jupiter and its moons are sharp and the bands are visible. Very pleased!

Nice scope. Shame on customer services
First of all. The scope is just what I wanted. Powerful for what it is. Compact and portable. nice optics. Now the bad bit. When the scope arrived, I unpacked it. All well and good. But when I tried to put the finder in, I discover the thread for the thumbscrew is stripped. I called customer services and they suggested I buy a new part and they will refund the cost of purchase. Er, say what? I said you have got to be having a jimmy riddle! I would like a replacement scope please. I am not going to faff around like that. After What seemed like hours of debate, the issue is still not resolved. I would like a courier to come and collect it, says I. No way says Priya the customer services rep.. Can you take it to the post office and send it back at your own cost, says she. Once again I insist that they send a courier to collect it. Why should I have to pay for the cost of posting back a defective item. Blah blah blah. Back an forth we go arguing the toss. In the end, I was losing the will to live. So I did what Priya was hoping all along, I gave up. I took the offending part to work, and tapped a new thread. I can make a promise to all and sundry that I will never, ever, Buy anything from Amazon again. THE END.

Here’s my experience… GOOD POINTS The field of view is a lot smaller ...
I bought the C90 as a light grab and go astronomical telescope that also doubles as a spotter scope for bird watching. Here’s my experience… GOOD POINTS The field of view is a lot smaller than I expected but it is not an issue. The quality of the image makes up for it. Jupiter is almost as good as my larger 8inch EQ5 SkyWatcher, the optics are excellent. Attachments and eyepieces are interchangeable making this a very versatile scope. All my eye piece reticules and filters for my larger scope fit like a glove turning this small scope into an astronomical telescope to be reckoned with. The size of the C90 makes this scope a really good grab and go astronomical telescope for amateur and intermediate astronomers alike. BAD POINTS Finder scope issues: The finder scope that was supplied with my C90 is woefully bad! The field of view is really small, worse still it wouldn’t focus properly. Sending the whole thing back isn’t really an option, they will only send me the same type back again anyway. The only answer here is to upgrading to a better finder scope later at my own expense. Weight and balance issues: Another point is the centre of balance is awkward. You have a firm grip of the tripod handles or the scope will flip backward or forward due to its weight and small size. The only answer is to invest in a good sturdy tripod, the optics are way to good for a cheap wobbly one. Despite the niggly short comings I strongly recommend this product.

Solid construction, compact design, useful for multiple functions.
Bought as a first telescope, and for terrestrial observation/shooting spotting scope. Construction is solid, with metal tube. Screw thread on the base will take a standard camera tripod screw, but you'll need a solid tripod to make it work (currently using a manfrotto 190xprob with trigger release ball head -- an alt/az screw adjustment head would be better, but this combo works). Good views of the moon (practically fills the view with the supplied eye piece) and Saturn (really need a higher mag for this, but you could see the rings). For terrestrial usage I could do with a lower mag eye piece, as the field of view is only a couple of degrees, but it's great for observing shipping and such (nothing too fast, as finding a moving target can be tricky). The finder scope is certainly on the cheap side, but it does work (holds its zero even after removing from the main body). Hard to see the cross-hairs at night, but I guess that's not surprising.

... the Moon with and was told this is the best scope for that job
I wanted something to view the Moon with and was told this is the best scope for that job. Delivery was quick and item looked nice, sat well on my Tripod also. However, i had it for 1 week and wasnt to get it to focus not once. The seller suggested it might be faulty and so i sent back for a refund. While i had it, i did notice that its VERY hard to get it to focus and you have to manually turn the scope to counter the rotation of the moon, so it gets a little tiring. I will because of what i learnt through my experience here now go and purchase a scope that has a computer that deals with focus and rotation as i can imagine this will get VERY frustrating for someone who wants to observe the sky a lot, like myself who plan to film the moon every night.

Just looked at the moon up close, loved it.
Nice telescope, though spotter scope not great. Feels nice and robust, smaller than I expected, and gives a clear image. This is my first scope so I'm no expert, but I'm happy with it. Need to get a proper telescope mount though as a reasonably priced camera tripod is still too shaky at these magnifications.
