Excellent quality picks
I play clawhammer banjo but have problems with my fingernail either breaking or wearing down. Over the years I have tried many different picks to solve the problem. These picks have proven to be the most effective and most comfortable to use. As they are made of metal, they are very easy to shape to my finger which helps keep them in place. The sound quality is excellent giving a very nice tone compared to plastic picks. I have average sized fingers and have found the .018mm are a perfect fit for me. I haven’t used the thumb pick yet but it certainly looks well-made.

Exactly right
Never used metal picks to play but these have been great, I’m getting used to the touch so I am able to play softly now, the thumb pick is taking a bit longer as I want to strum with it too , so I might have to look for an alternative. Initially I was confused about the sizing as there were conflicting and incorrect information being suggested in the question section and reviews. All the picks are the same size regardless of sizing indication. You bend and twist to fit, if you have fat fingers you open them up, if you have thin you squeeze them tighter. The sizing is to do with the finger picks only, it denotes the thickness of the metal not the finger size. A beginner would use the thinnest to start and progress to thicker to change tone or style of play. The thumb pic is the same size across the whole range of sizing. So it’s the same whether you have a thin finger pick or thick finger pick size. You can confirm this for yourself, the picture shows the reverse of the packaging which shows the thumb pick is the same size on all of them. So with that clarified , get some, pick and strum yourself to happiness.

some size information
These are good. For info - small neoprene gloves usually fit me well, medium are too big on the fingertips. Measurements -not scientific, just a bit of string around each finger knuckle where the band of the pick sits. Index 5.2 cm, middle 5.5 cm, ring 4.7cm. I ordered the smallest size 0.13. The middle finger one fits nicely and the other two fit fine with an overlap on the wings. Any bigger and I wouldn't have been able to keep the curve when overlapping the wings. If these had been smaller they would still have been fine because the wings don't need to meet. My advice is to go smaller if in doubt.

Picks don't really deliver the "bright" sound as claimed by Jim Dunlop
The thumb/finger size (gauge) goes from small to extra large: .013MM = S .015MM = S-M .018MM = M .020MM = M-L .022MM = L .025MM = XL I ordered the default (.015MM) and by luck these fit me as I have small/medium sized hands for a man. ;) These metal picks can be squeezed or opened up to fit around smaller/larger fingers, but the plastic ones can't so you have to be careful with sizing; because of this some players have different sized picks for different fingers instead of having a set like this where all the picks are the same size. The metal ones produce a natural (classic) sound, like bare fingers, but produce a much louder sound - so ideal for acoustic instruments like banjo, pedal steel, resonator or acoustic guitar, when you want an instrument to stand out more. I tried these on my electric guitar and was rather disappointed to find they were rather awkward and no better than using my bare fingers. If you just want an electric guitar to sound louder you can adjust the amplifier gain and effects processor - no need for fingerpicks. If the plastic fingerpicks are anything like the single plactic picks then they probably produce a much brighter sound - which I would prefer. I favour the Jim Dunlop Gel picks (green / M-L) as they give me the brightest and loudest (jangly; rickenbacker-type) sound - even on my Brian May guitar. As I can already pick strings very quickly and accurately with just a single gel pick I may not use these fingerpicks after all, but it was worth a try for the price.

So thin I should have bought the heavier guage picks as these wont last me long.
The only thing wrong with these .018 picks is they are too thin. When putting them on they will always get some bending while securing them to the fingers and being so thin they wont last long before the metal cracks and the wrap round part breaks completely. I would get .022 or thicker next time. I like the picks other than the guage being thin. I like Dunlop but not sure these if these are genuinie Dunlop or copies.

Bruit metalique lors du contact avec les cordes
Ça fait un bruit metalique à chaque contact. C'est dommage. J'ai essayé différentes positions et rien ne résout le problème.
