Art Oracles: Creative & Life Inspiration from the Great Artists

Absolutely LOVE these cards. They are for real art lovers and feature all my favourites plus some I’ve probably seen but didn’t remember their names. The descriptions of the artists are short but well written and make you want to discover more. The cards are fun and you can use them to inspire you, but in no way for tarot or serious readings. The box is super sturdy and has lovely shiny foil on it so makes a nice present. Highly recommended - I’ve bought several of these, the fashion and music sets as Christmas presents. I haven’t used the latter ones yet but pretty sure they’ll be just as good. They look lovely!!

Such a fun thing to have, especially if you love art! The little leaflet inside tells you more about each artist in a short concise way which is quite nice

Very cool item. Really helpful to explore different artists and get a gist of their vibe. Not much of an oracle per se as you will see from pics, the booklet /leaflet give you a quick n humourous bio of the artist while the cards have 3 things that artist would say to you based on *life, *work, *inspiration. I found them thought provoking at least and stimulating curiosity. Can't wait to see what my friend says who got them as a gift 😁

Bought for a gift so have not used fully. However box is nice cards and booklet are tidy. Pictures are clear as are the quotes on the bottom of the cards. They look like they are going to be imensly fun

These are high quality cards with very beautiful illustrations and design. They are really fun. I love to use these cards to help with the artist block for inspiration. Great to shuffle and randomly pick out an artist or two and read about their style and artistic influence.

As cartas são muito bonitas e as definições são bem divertidas... Pra quem conhece um pouco de tarot e um pouco de historia da arte consegue perceber que as relaçoes com os artistas foram muito boas...

Le carte riportano frasi chiave legate ai più famosi artisti di tutti i tempi, di diverse discipline: pittori, fotografi, architetti....come William Blake, Diane Arbus, Tiziano, Rem Koolhaas....Non mi aspettavo fosse così bello: le frasi riportate in ogni carta sono molto evocative, sono inviti a vivere come hanno fatto i grandi personaggi in esse ritratti. Stra-consigliato, anche come regalo per amanti dell'arte, e non necessariamente di carte oracolo.

Rather than citing actual quotables from these artists, Ms. Tylevich synthesizes her own pithy aphorisms consonant with her take on their lives and works . Accompanying these beautiful and beautifully-produced cards is a most interesting booklet in which she gives her précis accounts of the artists and their lives, not as dry encyclopaedia snippets, but in wildly colorful, opinionated, agenda-laden salvos that recall early (Bob) Dylan verse. Although rooted in art history, this is really fully the wonderful and unique work of Ms. Tylevitch, a clearly fascinating artistic intellect whom I should check out further. I was directed to this most unusual objet d'art by the Seville guitarist, author, and artist Paola Hermosín.

Amazing deck of cards, I learned a lot about these artists and arranged "fake tarot" type of readings with friends, quick delivery. I fully recommend this deck.
