What strings do you recommend for a Epiphone eb0 and a Cort Junior, both short scale. I was thinking maybe Nylon and Flatwound

I use D'Addario Chrome flatwounds and the Nylon tapewound. I find flatwounds smooth as silk with none of that finger noise or "tizz" you get with roundwounds. The flatwounds also have no ridges so don't collect all that gunk you get with roundwounds they last year's as well.

I string my 5 string bass eadgc. are there any such packs of nylon tapewound strings? if not, is the high c available separately?

I use chrome tape wound strings and yes there is a chrome flatwound C string available for tuning EADGC...I cant for the life of me remember where I got mine but I'm sure a google search will find one. Not seen a nylon tapewound one though.

What are the best set of nylon tapewound strings for a Fender Jazz bass

I've used a few different brands over the years - but I must admit that I almost always come back to D'Addario for most strings these days - Bass, Ukulele and Guitar! They are very consistent quality and I like the sound of most sets they do. I'm using these particular bass strings on a Squier (jaco Pastorius) Fretless Jazz Bass and they sound exactly right to me.

What scale strings would i need for a Hofner Ignition bass?

Although the bass scale length is 30 inch you will need 32 inch strings as there's quite a distance between the bridge and the string trapeze. I use 32"
