Silentnight Impress Memory Foam Mattress Topper

The Silentnight Impress Memory Foam Mattress Topper is an absolute game changer. It’s made my bed so much more comfortable, and the extra 5cm thickness really makes a difference. It’s especially great for heavier people or anyone who finds side sleeping uncomfortable — it provides excellent support while still feeling soft and cushioned. I’ve noticed far less pressure on my hips and shoulders since using it. If your mattress feels too firm or just needs a comfort boost, this topper is a fantastic and much cheaper alternative to buying a new mattress.

Wish I bought one sooner. This is great. I've had for a while now and it needs spun to keep it from getting permanent shapes stuck. It's comfy and prefer it to a normal mattress now

We bought this as a replacement for the old memory foam topper we had on our campervan bed. Our old one was giving us a ton of hip pain. This topper is comfy (no pain in the night!), fits perfectly with the dimensions of the camper bed, and has a removable cover that's machine washable. Almost everything about it is great! The only issue we've had is that it slips down the bed whilst in use. Even with the straps you hook over the main mattress, it some how slips down so you have an overhang at the foot end. Maybe we fidget like mad throughout the night, and sure the van isn't always completely level, but even when we get the van level it still slips. It doesn't really effect the comfort of it as usually it's slipped maybe 5 or 6 inches so it's under the pillow area but it is still a little annoying. But other than that it's been great!

Very comfortable fits the bed perfectly best topper I’ve ever bought

I have been using this mattress topper for about four weeks now and would certainly recommend it - it will certainly prolong my mattress which has a memory foam insert but which had started to get a bit lumpy. As others said it did have a slight chemical smell on arrival but I aired it for three days before using and also washed the cover before use (I also have a mattress cover over it) and although it still had a bit of a smell when I first started using it this completely disappeared within a week or so. As with all memory foam products it does feel a bit hard until you get used to it and I found my hip hurt a bit to start with but I persevered and now it has bedded in a bit it is so comfortable and I am sleeping better and it is cheaper than buying a new mattress for the time being. It is also a good price based on others I looked at so I would say it is value for money. The only thing I would add is being 5cm thick you might find you need to buy deeper fitted sheets depending on the depth of your mattress - I already had them as my mattress being a mix of springs and foam is deeper than some. Overall I am extremely happy with it and would certainly recommend it although if you have never slept on memory foam before you may well find it a but hard but keep with it and once you get used to it, it does provide a good base on which to sleep.

Was not sure about buying this mattress topper as it received mixed reviews and I was going to get the thicker and more expensive 7 cm one , but very glad I got the 5 cm and in the spring sale also. It arrived very quickly ,started to expand as soon as it was out of the plastic, but I did leave it flat for 36 hours before sleeping on it . It is very comfortable I had the best sleep I have had in a while and after a night shift ,highly recommended this topper .

I am a big fan of SilentNight products, so bought this to possibly soften a SilentNight 7 zone memory foam mattress which I found to be a little firm for my personal preference. I'm so disappointed at spending almost £100 on a product that needs shifted back into position daily no matter what I've tried, even velcro strips. Every single morning after a night's sleep there is a 3" or 4" overhang on one side, with a significant dip on the other side of the bed. Sewing it directly to the mattress is going to be a last resort then just replace the lot when funds allow. A lot of reviews mention a smell, after one dose of Fabreeze I didn't find this to be a problem. There were quite a few bulges when first fitting it into the cover but they settled after one night sleeping on it. Overall I don't find the comfort difference to be much improved, it has made a minimal difference to firmness, certainly not reflective of the price. Maybe on a coil only bed, or a cheaper mattress it would make more of an impact but not on mine. I definitely would not recommend.

Having owned a few memory foam mattress toppers, this one is quite good though I would have preferred a slightly thicker topper. I would say that by normal German foam standards, this one rates approximately H2, medium firmness. I wouldn't recommend to anyone weighing more than 70 kilos. So far, comparing to thicker toppers that I've had, this one doesn't appear to leave permanent sleep indentations which is good and a positive sign of a decent quality memory foam. My last one from another Amazon seller left permanent indentations after only a couple of weeks and the seller wouldn't take it back. As with all foam mattresses, the smell is quite pungent to start with though dissipates after a week with regular airing. The only poor aspect of the topper is the cover. One expects a fully enclosed zipped washable cover though it is only a flimsy top cover resembling a fitted sheet. I used an old fully enclosed cover as I'd imagine the foam would get very dirty quite quickly without it.

La housse de propreté se présente comme un drap housse, d'un côté je fus surprise lors du déballage car elle habituellement zippée tout autour du matelas, de l'autre c'est genial pour le lavage car automatiquement lorsque je lave mes draps j'ai la possibilité de la laver. Si elle englobait la totalité du matelas et que je devais le déhousser, je me connais je ne la laverais quasiment jamais. Super sur-matelas, une touché de confort supplémentaire très appréciée ! Livraison rapide, emballage parfaitement étudié.

Tres bon article , j adore. Le plus, sa housse. Delais de livraison rapide. Seul point negatif , l odeur au debut. J ai laisse aerer le surmatelas 4 jours. Plus rien maintenant.

Le temps de reprise de la forme après compression pour l'emballage est beaucoup plus long que celui indiqué. il est de plus d'une semaine. Sinon article satisfaisant et confortable.
