Q: I am looking for pedal which when I press it, the note will be sustained. Is this how it works please? I keep reading about it being in reverse?

I use my "Roland Dp-2 Damper Pedal Momentary Footswitch" as a sustaining pedal. It works just like the right pedal on my piano, sustaining the note when pressed and dampening it when released. You could pay more for a pedal that looks more like a piano pedal but I doubt it would function any better. It's a good price and works well.
