STABILO EASYergo 3.15 - Ergonomic Mechanical Pencil - Right-Handed - Pack of 1 - Light Blue/Dark Blue with Sharpener

Great pencil option for both kids learning to write and for adults who have lost dexterity. I used one as a kid and it improved my legability greatly and now my gran has them to allow for her to write with less discomfort due to Artheritus in her hands. I can say that these are very robustly made. Whilst we needed to replace the pencil in full due to me losing it as a child, the pen, which was purchased in 2007, is not only still working but barely looks like it's been used so fingers crossed for another 20 years of service on it. So good value for money no question there. I will say that the sharpener could be better as it is not designed for small hands or with dexterity issues in mind, but you can sharpen the lead with a normal sharpener, just make sure to click the lead a little extra out so you dont shave down the housing of the product. Additionally, most modern electric sharpeners will sharpen just the leads due to pure lead pencils becoming a thing. 8/10 from me would recommend, it would be a 10/10 if it improved the following- 1 more ergonomic sharpener or taking a leaf from the Japanese with turning lead as this thick one would greatly benefit from less sharpening being required. 2- provide more than one lead with the pencil and provide the option of limited colours even if its just Red, Blue and Green. Worther 3.15mm shorty leads appear to be the best option i have found so far as a possible option but they are not cheap and may require some extra work to make them fit but if they do i will try to remember to update my review to reflect this.

Helped my 6 year old with writing in school

I bought this pencil on the recommendation from a Orthoptist. My son is Dyslexic and struggles with handwriting and aching. He’s really impressed by the support and grips on the pen. I would highly recommend. It’s available for left and right handed too! Good value for money also!

Have purchased these several times now as they seem to disappear quite easily at my sons school. These are perfect for him, make writing easier with not as much pain. Was recommended these by occupational therapy.

My son is in reception, he never got a preferable hand to write, however, due to this lockdown I saw he kept on using left (the teachers were surprised since he used to use right hand) but at home only left. He had clumsy writing, did too much pressure on it, and kept on lifting up the hand to see where was the letters. With this one, the wide tip makes it easier for him to see so no more unnecessary pressure or lifting to see where the letters are. Since it is "bulky" compared to others, he has a better grip which doesn't make him so tired. The sharpener is a plus, it is still wide enough for him to see. Since he has been using it, he has better control, doesn't get too frustrated and enjoys writing. I'd recommend this to whoever has a child left handed or left handed people out there. It is a really good pencil.

It’s ha really helped my son with his writing. He is hyper mobile and really helps him with grip. His teacher is so impressed with it she’s going to order some for the class room for some of the other children!

Wonderful little pen

This pencil has been a game changer! My five year old daughter is left handed and has been having issues with seeing the words as she writes due to her hand covering them! As she is the only left handed writer in the family I didn’t realise some of the left handed challenges. Positioning the paper on a slant was helping to see the words but I don’t want her handwriting to suffer and I certainly don’t want her to struggle needlessly with her writing. This pencil was worth a try and am I glad I bought it! The improvement in handwriting since using this pencil has been fantastic, it is designed for comfort and the positioning of the hand when holding it has been well thought out. The pencil glides across the paper leaving nice looking writing behind! I’d definitely recommend this pencil for all left handed children.

Present till dottern och hon blev super glad. Hon tyckte den var lätt att hålla i och den är för vänsterhänt så passade utmärkt till henne. Underlättar för henne när hon skriver.

My son loves it. Very easy to use for 3-4 yo kids

Ordered for my left handed 4y old to practice the grip before the big school. Oh, my goodness! What a change! Finally he can hold his fingers in place for tripod grip although I'm not sure that this will be his grip for a life, but at least his hand doesn't stays in the air while drawing and writing. I tried myself (right handed) and it's the most comfortable pencil I have ever holded. Usually my fingers get tired after writing ot coloring for longer time, but not with this one! I wish these pencils would be mandatory to be used in our primary schools because here they don't care much about neat handwriting. My 4y old is about to start the primary school, but all the stationary will be bought by school, but I'm planning for him to use this awesome pencil at home for homeworks.

känns jätteskönt tycker jag. Ska bara få mina barn att förstå det. De håller pennan fel så försöker lära om dem. Så mitt råd ge dem en sån här penna direkt när de är små så de lär sig rätt från början.

Our son seems to wear regular pens just fine, it does make a small difference.
