how is this charged??

Hello
      The alarm does not have a rechageable battery. It is powered with a PP9 type battery but a PP9 one will
not fit!! The connection will not mate up to the terminal posts!!
The only way to use the alarm is to find a PP9 connecting wire from an old piece of equipment then after removing
the original one solder this one in it's place. I could not find anyone who sold the original battery.

Or ring your local nick and ask to speak with their Crime Prevention officers.

Can you offer more details about what battery can be used since I see an usual 9v battery is not compatible.I always use Duracell plus , compatible ??

Normal 9V battery in both mine. Cheap Chinese one supplied, Duracell should be fine.
