Are there specific directions for noodles that only have stove-top directions (e.g. boil 3 minutes)?

The TRICK is to start with hot water like cup of soups, top ramen and when making pasta on the stove. I have the rice cooker. I fill it 3/4 full of water, add salt and put in microwave on high for eight minutes, uncovered. Pull out hot water , I add 1/2 of a package of a lb. of vermicelli/angle hair pasta broken in half, stir put back in microwave for eight minutes, checking and sturing with a fork ever 2 minutes so it does not stick together. Once it is limp continue cooking to the doneness you want. I open my sauce bottle and cover open top with paper towel put in on defrost. Mine does two sessions 1min. 30sec & 2min. 30sec.. After first session I screw lid on bottle and turn up and down to disperse heat. Put back in, lid off, paper towel on and finish second session. The bottle will be hot so make sure you use something to protect your hand, again cover with lid and move up and down. Drain pasta put back in rice cooker add sauce a cheese, stir and enjoy.

They have changed the design of this bowl. It will leak. They have done away with the seal on the perimeter of the lid.

How much does this hold? Will it hold like a large can of soup?

This container holds about 32 ounces; a can of Campbell's Cunky soup will fit. It wasn't clear what "large" can of soup you're wondering about, but this noodle bowl holds a quart. Hope this answers your question.
