Amazing Transformation
These grout pens are great to use and really transform the appearance of tiles, whether brightening faded white grout, or changing the colour completely. You need to press the nib down to get the paint to flow, which you'll find yourself repeating frequently. Don't press too hard, as the nib eventually works its way inside the pen, so the less pressing the better. You can go at grout completely free hand, give it 5 mins or so to dry, then wipe over with a dry, preferably textured/micro-fiber cloth, to remove any excess on the tiles themselves. Don't worry, it comes off the tiles very easily. We used dark grey to make the 1/3 brick finish of our white tiles stand out, and we're really pleased with the results. I've bought another pen to keep as spare and use to touch up a few areas that were proving tricky to reach as the original pens ran out. The only down side is that painting the grout a darker colour shows you if/where it wasn't grouted very neatly to begin with!! I had to sand a few areas first to get the lines looking neat.

Great product to bring new lease of life to old grout
Easy to apply and brought a new lease of life to our tiles. We were really surprised just how fresh and modern the grout pen made them look - a great way to overhaul a bathroom without re tiling or re grouting. Only thing would be to maybe make the nib silicone or a more durable material. The ink goes far but the nib wears down pretty quickly meaning we needed several pens in the end and not just the one claimed int the advert - but as they are so inexpensive and the result was great that wasn’t a huge bother. Great overall results that seem to last well so far. Did the floor tiles too with a lighter grey with similar results.

Fantastic Grouting Pen
Having spent hours on my hands and knees scrubbing cream kitchen floor tile grouting clean, I finally decided I'd had enough and bought the dark grey grouting pen. It worked a treat and now all I have to do is steam mop my floor tiles and they come up looking like new. I recommend the grout pen and the Seller.

Good value for the price but pen is for a one use only as the tip doesn't last
Used this on my kitchen floor. For me the thickness of the pen was perfect as the grout lines on the floor were quite broad. I managed to get the grout covered and I've mopped several times and so far its stayed on so this is obviously great, but after a few tiles the tip of the pen started to wear down and got quite frayed which I then found difficult to cover the grout I got there in the end and was happy with the floor.

Fills a gap in the market
This product is for everyone who has had difficulty finding a 'dark grey' grout (as there seems to be a gap in the market with BAL grout who only seems to manufacture either a black or 'mid/light' grey.) I have tried other grout 'dyes' but these did not cover up white blemishes in the grout and ended up looking very 'purple' when applied over mid grey grout, and had to be applied with a toothbrush which took along time. I would say this product covers blemishes well. There is a slight purple 'tinge' when viewed in daylight (hence I given only 4*) but the colour matching to Mapei 'Anthracite' sealant is an near as damn. I applied two coats followed by two coats of grout stain repellant. It is easy to apply but I would recommend working in small areas and removing the excess from tiles as you go as it does dry quite quickly and can be difficult (but not impossible) to remove from the tile surfaces. I've used this on both walls and floors including a wetroom type shower. It has only been a few weeks since I fully completed this project so cannot comment if the floor colour will wear off or if the amount of wet in the shower will somehow remove in time but I can say at this point I am pleased and relieved to have found this product

Pleasantly surprised
Having read the negative reviews I was a little sceptical about how successful my bathroom revamp would go, but to my delight the negative reviews couldn't have been more wrong. The main criticisms have been that the nib gets pushed inside and that the nib wears out after very little use. Both are completely unfounded on my experience. The nib has a spring inside which only allows you to push so far before it gently pushes back out and I have managed to do my whole bathroom with two and a bit pens. The only way that I can think that people are experiencing nib issues is if they are being too heavy handed. Once finished it has given a great, even coverage which has stood up to the shower test without any bleeding of the colour whatsoever. All in all a great product which I would highly recommend to anyone.

Awesome!
I just finished my grout coloring projects today. I must say that I am very pleased with the grout pen(dark gray) so far. I purchased three pens for my kitchen backsplash and a shower wall. One wall in my shower has a dark gray grout, which in spots was beginning to discolor. I scrubbed and scrubbed, however, I could not bring the color back. I used a dark gray grout pen and colored all of the grout on that shower wall and it turned out great. It was easy to use, clean up of any excess on the tile was simple and the color looks great. See photos. Next, my kitchen backsplash. The backsplash is made up of white subway tile with white grout. The only problem is that the white grout became very dingy and yellowish over time. I used the same dark gray grout pens for the backsplash and it turned out amazing. See photos. The grout pens last a long time in my opinion. I used maybe one and a half pens for both my kitchen backsplash and shower wall. I even double coated near the kitchen sink and behind the oven for extra protection. It took me about 8 hours to do the kitchen and shower wall. My recommendation to you would be to complete your task, allow the grout to dry for an hour or so and come back to wipe down the excess color off of the tiles. With a damp cloth, the excess color wipes right off of the tiles. With a non-porous tile, you don’t need to worry about coloring outside the lines. It will not stain. Don’t wipe down after every bit of color you get on the tile, it will add so much time to your job. Wait until you’re all finished, then clean. I used microfiber towels, bundled up and damp. I worked it in circle motions through the tile wall, trying not to apply to much pressure to the grout lines. When the grout color is fresh, some may wipe off if you apply too much pressure directly to the grout. This is why I recommend waiting an hour + before wiping down. Allow it to settle into the grout. I started wiping too quickly after application and had to add some color again. After you clean up the excess color off of the tiles, examine for any touch up areas. There will likely be a few. Some reviews addressed the pen tip breaking. I never experienced this. During the color process, keep a paper plate handy to dab and prime the color into the pen tip. Do this often and you won’t need to press hard while coloring. I could see it breaking if you go all King Kong on it. I can’t speak for the durability of the product yet, but as time goes on, I will update my review. I may add a spray on tile/grout seal after a few days to help protect the color as well.

Results of the dark gray
The pen works well The finish looks brilliant, but definitely no where near up to 60 linear metres like that say, I've not did a complete measure yea. I've got a much bigger project next to do will the light gray so I'll keep you up dated on that one. The big one will be how long will it last. Lastly for the coverage lve got so far l think it's a bit expensive, but l do recommend the rainbow grout pen every one got the own opinion.
