are these suitable for a 34mm thick door?

I would think you could but you’d probably need to fix with different screws, perhaps the type that feed through from each side and screw into each other (don’t know what they are called), because of the narrowness of the door. You’d also have to shorten the length of the actuating bar that feeds through the latch mechanism.
