It comes with 8 different coloured foams.

Does it cum with the play foam or is it an empty box

It comes with the play foam in all the different colours, as shown in the picture. My daughter still loves this product.

How big are the foams how many g's would you say?

I wouldn't like to guess in G's but there not very big. Probably the size of a golf ball rolled up each one.

If the colours get mixed, is it possible to separate them again?

No. The colours when all mixed together turn to a horrible brown shade.
